    Norton Antivirus erases .exe file

It seems that a recent Norton AV update now targets my dvdfab.exe file and quarantines it on me. I have to reinstall it each time to use it and disable my AV s/w so it won't do it right again. Any thoughts on preventing this from continuing?

    Yes. Report it to Symantec.

This "False Positive" problem seems to occur in spurts and is especially prevalent in AVG also.

Yup, good advice from my colleague....prevalent with McAfee too,
but thankfully we haven't seen much about McAfee for several months now.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Yes, this used to happen to me all the time with McAfee, but seems okay now.

Some good advice I received at the time from these forums was to disable automatic updates in DVD Fab, just update it when you see updates available on these forums.

Also IF you are doing only DVD to DVD as I do? Go off line while copying DVDs, apparently this is not an optiom though with blurays.

And of course as advised complain to Norton/Symantec.

I finally got fed up with AVG and uninstalled it and went with Avita, have not had a problem since.
