Other Audio out of sync fine when streaming

I am ripping movies to stream to my xbox360. When i stream the movies the audio and video are synced up with no issues. But if i play the video on any computer the audio and video are out of sync until maybe half way through the movie. The problem I have is when I tested my moves to make sure they worked I always skipped to the end to make sure that it was good. Thinking if anything was out of sync it would have showed at the end not the start of the movie.

Any ideas why this might be happening?

I do rip if for xbox360 is this my problem? i figured it would just put it in windows media format.

Maybe I should be asking.. what is the best format if i want to stream to xbox360 along with playing on a computer along with playing on ipod?

Give one of the ipod settings a try and set up your computer to allow the Xbox to see that folder. Same goes for the Xbox you need to set it up to see the folder as well. Once all that done you can view them on the Xbox 360. What you should do is experiment with different format conversions to see what you like best for quality streaming using the Xbox 360
