Newest version is not working not quite right

I am totally stumped. I have been using dvdfab for a few years now. I updated to the newest version not to long ago and now I have a problem.

I have not had this problem before. A friend of mine thinks it is my dvd player, but that does not make sense. Here is what happens.

New movie plays on my computer and dvd player both just fine.
I use dvd fab to copy to my hard drive. Movie now plays on my computer fine.

I burn a copy of the movie to a disk (I have now tried three different burning programs)

The copied disk plays on the computer fine. The copied disk does NOT play on my dvd player, UNLESS it is a older movie. So something is not working right with the newer movies/shows.

This makes no sense to me what so ever, but then again, I really have no understanding of how all this works. But I have to make copies of the movies I buy because my grandson can scratch up the back of a disk just from looking at it somehow LOL.

Any other changes, blank media for eg.?
We'll need more details in order to help.
Please post the relevant logs, in particular, 1-2 burn logs

    The default location is:

    For Win7
    C:\Users\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\Log
    or for XP
    C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\Log
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I have been using the same pack of 100 disks for a while now, so those have not changed. Here are my last two burns. The one on the 21st worked, the one on the 18th did not.

Maybe you need this. I see on the 21st I actually tried two movies. The older movie worked, the newer did not. Also, the 18th date did not work either, that was a movie that had been put out about 4-5 years ago and it is on my computer just fine, they all are.

Unfortunately, the burn logs are not included in what you posted, but thanks for the other stuff.

We need that portion of the log that shows the actual burn process.
It'll display your burner, firmware, media ID, burn speed, etc...

Darn peculiar about the successes vs. failures...ie., old vs. new.
I seem to recall I read a thread about this some time back...sorry can'tt recall right now.
No worries, we'll get it figured out.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

You did not mention if you tried ImgBurn to burn a DVD so here is a link for downloading and setting up ImgBurn to work with DVDFab Watch the youtube video to configure them both. Set the AWS up in ImgBurn and once DVDFab and ImgBurn are set up give another try also the media is important for us to know. Even though they worked for you in the past you could still have picked up a bad pack
