    Scanning Media ... please wait

Since yestereday I am unable to run DVDfab, I have installed the latest 8.0.3.2. it says it is scanning media in Source window, but it doesn't bring up the scanning window like it usually does, and then there is usually activity on the drive. Now, all I get is that message in the Source Window, "Scanning media, please wait...."

but the drive is dead, and when I click the down arrow on the source drive window, there are no drives to choose from. It use to just know that I was using Drive M:, and now nada! I've tried uninstalling it, rebooting, and re installing it, still, it's a no go.

Thought that the free version of AVG may have caused the issues, and I unistalled that, but still same issue.

Not sure if PlayOn is causing any issues, any one have any ideas.

    I am running:
    Windows 7 Pro
    AMD Phenom II X4 965 @ 3.4 GHz
    8 GB RAM
    64 bit OS
    2 LG Blu-Ray Burner
NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250 W1 GB

    Thanks in advance,

Is this with all dvds or just one?

If one what is the name of the movie.?

Does your OS see the drives?

Hey buddy, thanks for the reply! Just as I was checkin on that other DVD issue, as I already knew that the OS could see the drives, I noticed that all the video files had the VLC icon, so I unistalled VLC and all is well with the world, once again. I completely forgot about installing that puppy.

Guess it took all rights to the drives and would allow DVDfab exclusive time with them, so it just hung....

Again Grunon, thanks for your time and effort, it is greatly apprciated.

Glad it is working but I am puzzled by VLC interfering.
All my dvd files have the VLC icon and is not causing a problem.

Oh well it is working and that is all that counts.

Sometimes it will do that if a DVD is in the drive when you execute Fab if another program has locked the drive first. VLC may have locked onto the DVD attempting to play it.
