How do I upgrade to the newest version? Usually I get a prompt telling me there's a newer version available but I didn't receive one for the newer version this time. Do I need to remove the old version and download the newer version? I bought the lifetime price of DVD Copy. Thanks.

No, simply install the newest version right on top.
You will only be prompted for final release versions, not Beta releases.
Be certain you have enabled the notification option.
