audio cuts out

i have tried to make a dvd from a wmv file
i used live screen capture software to record from a dvd download to a wmv file purchased from a website. video and audio played and copied perfectly.
i edited the file (trimmed) and the file saved as mp4 with audio and video intact.
when i converted the mp4 file to dvd with DVD Creator the resulting file plays video from start to end but the audio cuts out at 5.00 minutes and does not resume. i am using playerfab to play all files and the latest versions of DVDFab

this seems to be a playerfab issue as a burned dvd disc plays complete in a stand alone dvd player

Please uninstall and reinstall the latest version of DVDFab Media Player 7 at https://www.dvdfab.cn/download.htm?trackid=headmenu2 . Check if you can run playback the DVD disc this time.

Please also try simple mode to playback.

the uninstall/reinstall worked with a restart in between
