I have been using DVDFab to copy DVDs and Blu-Ray discs and have been very pleased with my general success. I am currently copying my Blu-Rays from the disc itself and I have seen advice advocating not compressing from the original disc, but rather to do this only from the files already ripped to the hdd. I am not very facile with video and would appreciate some advice on exactly how to do this. Thanks in advance...

Hi, mccue001,
You can follow the steps as follows:
1) Insert Blu-ray movie disc into your Blu-ray drive, choose "Full Disc" copy module, set output size as BD50 in the bottom area, copy the original movie to your hard drive.
2) After copy, you will get a folder named of "Full Disc" which is in your save location.
3) Choose "Main Movie" mode, load (or drag and drop) "Full Disc" folder as the source, set output size as BD25/bd5/bd9, select hard drive as target path to compress.
Sincerely Yours
