        Hi DJuanHouston,

1.You don't need a new player and you can play the copied disc with a general Blu-ray player which can play your original blu-ray disc.

        2. We suggest you make backup disc with the original disc.

            Hi Gats01,

            1) You need use Blu-ray copy-Full Disc and Main Movie modules, which can enable you to compress normal bd50 movie to bd25/bd5/bd9/dvd5/dvd9 disc. Please set the Writable Media Size at the bottom of DVDFab main screen.

            Choose BD25, DVDFab will compress the material to make it fit one BD25 disc;
Choose BD50, DVDFab will make a copy with no compression and burn to double/dual layer blank BD50 disc.
            Choose BD5, DVDFab will compress the material to make it fit one BD5/DVD-5 disc;
Choose BD9, DVDFab will compress the material to make it fit one double/dual layer blank BD9/DVD disc.

            2) Blu-ray 3D Ripper is powerful ripping software which supports to rip any Blu-ray 3D to AVI, MP4, WMV, and MKV 3D video for playback on 3D display devices. Side-by-side 3D format supported, superior in speed and quality.

Please install 3D Vision Video Player at http://www.nvidia.com/object/3d-visi....2-driver.html
or Stereoscopic Player http://www.3dtv.at/Downloads/Index_en.aspx to play your converted files.

            Sincerely,
            Sunny

Support in the future 3D BD50 to BD25?

              Hi Sunny,

Will there be a convert option for 3D BD50 to 3D BD25 or BD(own size) in future releases?

There is no tool I know of which can do this at this moment.
I haven`t bought a license yet for DVDfab because I`m not sure if the conversion will be supported in the future as this is the only thing I will be using it for.

I already have bought a tool which can do 3D conversion to MKV and all the other formats in different output types.

I have so far a panasonic 3d player and TV that came /w an avatar 3d disc

I guess what Im asking is will the current blu-ray copy I have backup this 3d disc ( nothing about 3d I see in the blu ray copy area only in the mkv area )

and have you seen if it can do a compression to 25gb or is the 3d to much to data to drop in size?

                  Hi all,

The current Blu-ray Copy - Clone module can not support to compress 3D BD50 to BD25, still thanks for your valuable suggestions, we will consider and try to implement this feature in future version. Have a nice day!

OK, but to be clear, the blu-ray copy option (without compression) will or will not be able to copy A 3D blu-ray movie/disc??

                    For Example:

Since I have A new Sony 55" 3D lcd with the 3D glasses, I have been buying A lot of the new blu-ray 3D movies. I want to back them up so I have an extra copy if anything happens to my original.

                    Thanks RiZ

PS- It would be nice to compress to fit on A single layer BD-R because I have not been able to find BD-R DL media for under $10.00us a disc and that sucks when you make A coaster!! I am getting BD-R (single layer) for $.75us that is not so bad to make A coaster here and there. Why are the BD-R DL's so much more expensive?? 99% of the movies that are out on Blu-ray disc are more than 25 gigs and use DL blu-ray discs. So you would think that the media has got to be more realistic in price because the movie distributors use the DL blu-ray discs. There have been A lot of times that I could buy the actual Blu-ray movie cheaper than the blank disc I would need to buy to back the movie up on!!! That is just STUPID!

                    RiZ

Does anyone have A good fair $$priced$$ place to buy BD-R DL (50 gig) discs?
                    Many Thanks RiZ

BluRay Copy (Clone) option (without compression) does work on 3D BluRay Movies, I have a number of successful burns using 25gb RiDisc Media.

50gb Media is expensive, the cheapest I have seen is on Ebay and the media is being shipped from Japan (the more you buy, the cheaper it works out) the average cost on their for say 10 discs works out around £4 per disc (including delivery) but you can get them as low as £2.30 per disc if you order enough of them.

I doubt that the price of 50gb media is going to come down anytime soon, there are not enough `Users` out there to support a drop in price, but now that 3D has started to take off then things might change sometime next year.

I found that restricting burn sppeds to 2x regardless of what the disc speed is generally results in success.

so u have successfully backed up a 3D blu ray with the menus, extras and everything intact as well as the 3D?

when I messed with my Avatar 3D disc I did the entire disc to 25gb but it looked horrible

i would assume any 47gb compressed to 25 will lose a ton of picture quality thats why I usually do the movie only but Ill mess with the avatar disc some more and see about main movie not full disc

or does a 3D disc have to be the whole disc? not sure if it uses more than 1 of the versions on there to make then 3D image

there is a subfolder in the BDMV/Stream folder named SSIF and a few ssif files in there. i have been trying to back up Saw 7 3D and there are two files in there each around 15GB in size. these are the 3D streams. there are two smaller ssif files also but not sure what those are exactly. but when i tried to back it up it copied everything except that folder and files.

as yet i haven't been able to find any software that can successfully copy an entire 3D blu ray including menu, extras and everything else.

that would be great since thats how i back up all my discs

I only have 2 3D movies rt now but I like to use the copies to play so I dont risk damage to the originals
