Are there any setting you have to change in Imgburn or fab to burn to a BDRE? I just burned one and it will not play in my BDP-3600 or 4600 Its says this disc cannot be played and ejects it?? Both players handle BDRE also it burned at faster than the disc can handle ie 1-2x and it burned at 2.3 could that be it?

you need to set the AWS correctly so you not burn too fast. You need to select a speed that is within the rated speed of the blank media you are using at that time.

1x is slower than the minimum speed for the blank media you using. You can not set the AWS for a speed lower than what the blank media supports. No program available is capable of burning slower than what the blank media supports.

i have used TDK BR-RE (50G) burned at 2x with no problem.

          dvdfba rip to iso
          compress to 25 G
          burn with imgburn at 2x

i have also used ridata, but for some reason they have to be reformatted
          after 2 or 3 burns.

          dow.

Ok I will change the speed! The package says 1-2x speed I will set at 2x and see the result! Could this be also why it would not play in my samsung 3600? After burning when I put it in the player I get a pop up saying this disc cannot be played and it ejects it?

Also changed the speed to 2x and it appears that this LG BH08LS20 will only burn BDRE at 2.4x even though the box states 2x???

I forgot to mention that you not able to go slower than the minimum speed of the drive as well. As for playback of it I not sure as I have not started burning Blu-ray yet much cheaper to buy hard drives and save on them instead of burning to media

Ok thanks for the info! Funny thing is the box says the fastest the drive will burn BDRE is 2x!!! Hahaha....Will this be a problem as the media is 1-2x?

Not sure if it be problem and it is a BD-RE so no worries about wasting expensive BD media since they rewritable.

I just tried a whole new burn, The Hulk burned 50gb to HDD then compressed to 25gb and burned with ImgBurn and recieved the same error "This disc cannot be played" then ejected??? I dont think this should be so hard and I would think that you would not have to change anything from media to media

this looks like the same message i was getting with the ridata.

have you tried using nero to reformat the disk? that was my solution for the ridata.

I think the problem is fixed!! It had something to do with ver .65 of fab!! Since I started using the newest ver I have not had an issue!! So it could be a bug in the older ver or it just could be shit happens!!!
