    +r disks

I tried to back up my 2 disk set of Watchman and i usually back my blu-rays to bd 5 but because of the size of the file i tried a bd 9 . I had no trouble with any of the process, but my player will not read the disk. I have it set to booktype to dvd rom so it should play on any player. It plays bd 5 with no problem but it will not play a bd 5 made on a +r disk. It is disappointing because although bd 5 still retains great quality there are some of my collection that i would like to back up on a bd 9. My copy of Watchman is us., my player is a sharp bd-hd21 .

What is the media ID of the disc's you are using??? There may also be something in you logs the default location is:
    For Win7 C:\Users\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\Log
    or Vista C:\Users\User Name\Documents\DVDFab\Log
    or for XP C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\Log
Please use attachment button and attach your most recent, Internal and Burn log(s) and post right here.

You're burning too fast for the Riteks, which is marginal to crappy quality media.
Slow down to 4X...or better yet, pick up some Verbatim +R DL MIS (made in Singapore).
It doesn't look like your burner/firmware likes the Riteks anyway
The MII verbs (made in India) are better than what you're using.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

              Hi csbond2
I agree totally with Maineman, you are also a few versions behind in ImgBurn, you will find the newest version here http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download

Tried again and it is still not able to read the disk. Going to test some more. Burned at 4x I am guessing it may be my player.

after a few more tests it seems that there is a compatibility problem with bd9 or bd5 done on a +r disk and it seems to just be with this model of player. I tried both bd9 disks that i had done on several other players and they played fine. I don't think it is a problem with dvdfab. thanks for the suggestions.
