BD to ISO not working

I have just bought my first Blu Ray reader for my computer. I have been using DVDFab Decrypter to transfer standard DVDs to ISO on hard disk for a long time. I play through an extender and never burn to disc. I now try to do the same with Blu Ray. Fab reads the disc for about 45 minutes but then I get a DOS window open with the message "Checking discs.
You are burning a disc with udf version 2.50 or higher. Windows xp and earlier versions will not be able to mount this disc >ok< cancel"
All I can do is close this window only to find no ISO has been created. It works fine with standard DVDs so what is going wrong? It appears to be trying to burn a disc, but I have selected the ISO source to HDD.
The Fab window shows "Task_2 failed! Error=-1073741509"
Just installed and tried XXXXXX and it created the ISO no problem.
Any guidance would be appreciated as I would prefer to stay with DVDFab.

It sounds like you're missing a driver update. My understanding is that XP doesn't otherwise support udf 2.5/2.6
Perhaps the competitor's software has this integrated somehow.

I should have stated, I am on Windows 7 and Nero 8 so drivers should be no problem. I am trying to create an ISO so I don't understand why it even mentions UDF and discs.

Yup, I think you're right.
Without the updated driver, XP won't even "read" BD, hence the udf message (I think?).
But why the heck would you get this error message with win7 ???

Is it possible Fab is being denied access to the internet and not able to D/L the key?
I know this still doesn't explain the error message you're receiving.

Please post relevant logs, maybe something will jump out at us.

The default location is:

For Win7

Could you also post a screenshot of Fab while attempting to read the BD?
Something amiss anyway if you're using freeware...or are you in the trial BD Copy?

To Maineman - I have added the log you mentioned. Can you look at it and see if anything leaps out at you please. Still can't copy BD to ISO.
