Trying to use Blu-Ray copy for Death Race. Every time I put the disc in, it starts to scan the disc but the "Open Blu-ray source" dialog never ends and it keeps scanning. I let it run for up to 30 minutes and it still wont open the disc. This is the only disc I have this issue with, been able to do other discs in the interim without issue at all and am really confused on why I can't get it to read this disc as its not a new protection or disc. All the threads I had seen on errors similar to this were for older versions of DVDFab.
I've done a search and tried some of the other solutions listed.
In regards to my settings
PC being used is:
The only option I don't have is to try another BD drive, this is my only PC capable BD drive. But the disc does read fine, I can play it using Power DVD 9, so its not a read error on the disc itself and other discs work fine.
dvdfab_internal.log - As you can see, it hits "got unit key 7" and that's the last message it returns and it could be running for 10,20,30 minutes past this, still scanning.
dvdfab_burn_vso.log - Note that it mentions my primary DVD drive, not my external BD drive, but that's not a problem.
TIA
I've done a search and tried some of the other solutions listed.
- Disable / enable pathplayer
- Reset DMA
- Try another disc (have tried two copies of the disc, both have failed)
- Killing all other processes on the PC, cold boot.
- Change file reading mode
In regards to my settings
- I/O mode is auto
- Ignore all reading errors automatically is set
- Read ahead cache is enabled
- File reading mode is - Internal
- All of the copy protection options are enabled
PC being used is:
- Win 7 x32
- T9300 2.5ghz duo-core
- 4gb RAM
- Plextor PX-B120U external drive
- Only other BD software on the computer is Cyberlink Power DVD 9 to play the discs
