    The Social Network problems

Did anyone actually manage to make a protected disc copy of the Social Network BD and play it on a ps3 without issues ?

if so, how did you do it ?

first I got the errors before it could burn, simply failed with VSO or IMGBurn engine, now with the recent beta .7.5 it burned, yet It shows up with an error code 800299A1

    any help appreciated

Thanks for posting the logs. I have The Social Network and will try it myself. Iirc, I tried it in the past and was ok, nevertheless I'll do a new test to be sure.
Tell me pls, was it a Full Disc or Main Movie? Also, for reference, what is the fw version of PS3?

Well, before the recent beta I had the burning fail error mentioned in another thread..

I tried Full Disc, copyprotected bdmv rec off course, ps3 FW is 3.56 ( should be latest)

Thanks for the effort. Is it my drive maybe?

            I got these

            errors before..

I always tried Full Disc, with copyprotected disc activated, bdmv-rec..
just told dvdfab to remove the region coding.

            ps3 fw is 3.56

            thanks for the efforts !

              Hi TylerAfx
Your drive is in PIO mode, Open Fab Click the Green top right > General > make sure Check for DMA Automatically is Checked and also Click the Reset DMA to the right click OK and restart Fab.
Give this a try and post back

Ok I did y'day a try with Main Movie and it worked fine (US release).
I'll try again today with Full Disc (and all the settings you mentioned)

Also try in the meantime what CBR929 said. Thanks

I did reset the dma, reripped and burned again, now it works. so far its running past the usual cinavia mark..

Big Thanks, guys, this is awesome.

no I have another question, a little OT from Social Network, rather general, but I ask it here anyways, if thats ok:

If I rip the BD of Social Network or any other Cinaviafailed BD, can I edit it inbetween the ripping and burning process, while the files are stored in the temp folder ? I'd like to use BDFix to add more audiostreams, for example. ( no cinavia on those streams off course.)

so will DVDFab burn the the edited files inclusing the cinavia specific data anyways ? whats your idea ?

I also noticed that the now working BD BDMV Rec Copy doesnt ring the cinavia warning again, once inserted and opened in dvdfab, is that normal ? how am I supposed to copy this BD while assuring its working ?

                  cheers

                  Tyler

                    Glad it works for you.
                    1. Q: edit files in temp folder
A: not quite, you see... the files in temp folder that are written to the disc are encrypted, as a requirement for Protected Backup. Such editing tools as BDfix require the input to be not encrypted.

                    2. Q: BDMV-REC to trigger Cinavia warning in DvdFab
A: the detector works for original discs only. While in theory it could be extended to cover the protected copies, there's no need as you can make another from the original. It may be added in the future, though.
