Cannot Rip "THX 1138" Blueray Disc to ISO

I am trying to rip "THX 1138" Bluray to ISO and when its gets to 22.58% complete an error window pops up and says:

    "Reading/Writing Error Control"
Error while writing! Please choose what to do: Retry or Abort.

I hit "Retry" and the window keeps poping up.

I am using the latest dvdfab version 8073 and my PC is running Windows XP sp3. I am able to view the Bluray with power DVD 10. I tried on a different PC running Windows 7 and same error.

    Any help would be appreciated

I have ripped over 100 BDs and 250 DVDs to ISOs with no issues until this one

Either bad disc or dirty try cleaning it and if that not work then need the info mentioned below

    Help Us Help You

If you are posting about an operational problem with one of the DVDFab products, you will improve the speed and accuracy of the response by providing some information in the very first post that will probably be needed.

First, make note of any error codes or messages that appear in popup boxes and put them in your post. Information on error codes that appear in the DVDFab UI are captured in one of the logs we request below.

DVDFab keeps logs of its activities that supply basic system information and can help pinpoint where and when an error happened and help pinpoint the cause. The default location for these logs on most Windows systems is:

    C:\Documents and Settings\your username\My Documents\DVDFab\Log

The logs are simple text files that can be opened with Windows Notepad. If the size exceeds the forum’s attachment size limit, you may need to delete older entries or copy and paste the relevant ones into a new file.

dvdfab_internal.log Attach for all problems. Time stamped, most recent at the bottom. Please edit to include only the most recent or relevant log session.

dvdfab_burn_vso.log Attach for all problems. The entries are time stamped with the most recent at the top.

dvdfab_burn_imgburn.log Attach if you have ImgBurn set as the burning engine and the problem concerns disc burning. Time stamped with the most recent at the bottom.

dvdfab_process.log Attach if DVDFab crashes and the crash report window does not come up or complete correctly or if internal error codes appear in the DVDFab window (“Task Failed…”). Time stamped, most recent at the bottom.

    Other Information:

Depending on the nature of the problem, it can help to know:
If this happens with all discs or just one
    Your operating system/CPU/memory configuration
If you are using external hard drives or optical drives
If you have made any recent changes to your OS or system hardware
If you have other DVD or BD software installed, particularly if recently added.

Posts with all the requested information will be answered first.

          Hi

          1. Please click the tick green icon button at the right top corner of the DVDFab screen, open "Common Settings" window, click on "Read", select "ignore all the reading errors automatically".

          2.Please try version 8.0.7.3 at http://www.dvdfab.com/download.htm.

3.Please copy your film to your computer with the folder as the target first.

4.Then produce an iso with the video folder as the source to see the result.

            Ok, it worked.

            Thank you!!!

I disabled "ignore all the reading errors automatically and was able to copy movie first to HD then make ISO. I assume I would be able to create ISO all in one step right from the BD Disc like I always do.

So question is do I keep it set to automatically ignore all reading errors for future BDs or should I uncheck it and only change it back if I get similar error on another BD.

              Sorry I spoke too soon

It copied movie to HD with no problem but when I went to make ISO it started fine and I assumed it would finish so I wrote the earlier reply and when I went to look at its progress it had the same error message as I described in my first post.

I will include both logs below

The logs for the ISO creation looks rather small with no error listed but I tried it twice and that all the info that was logged

I was able to clone THX 1138 BD to iso with dvdfab. Not sure why this worked and the main movie to iso did not

Now that you have ISO created by DVDFab try using DVDFab with the ISO it created to get your Main Movie ISO. Not sure if that will work as I not save as ISO
