How to get burn speeds up

Hello folks,

I too have very low copy and burn speeds. Is there an easy way to get my speeds up, here is a copy of my log

Please help, I just need to know what settings I need to be at. If passkey or something like it is needed let me know. I can burn a dual layer standard DVD with your software in less than 45 minutes. With BR it takes almost 2 hours to read and another 3 hours to burn

Hello, eli5539,

From what I can tell, the time spent depends on your computer configuration, the size of source Blu-ray disc(BD50/BD25), the output target (BD25/BD5/BD9) you chose, the write speed you chose, etc.

Possible means to speed up:

1. Open "Common Settings" window in the upper right corner of DVDFab main screen, click on "General", click on "Reset DMA";

2. Instead of doing disc-to-disc backing up,copy the movie to HDD 1st, then load the movie folder from HDD as source to burn to save much wear & tear;

3. Employ a high-end Graphic Card of nVidia,which enables hardware acceleration.

Your burn log is not a complete burn log, it would be about triple the length of your log sessions that you posted.

As far as burning goes, you never want to burn at max setting.
You could burn a little faster if using quality media like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim, but if using garbage media and burning at max speed you sure could throw one hell of a party because you will have a lot of coasters for the drinks

You may also want to consider a firmware update for your drive found here

NOTE: If you do not know how to flash your drive do not do it, it will render your drive useless if done wrong.

It depends on the movie!! But for burning no I burn BDRE 50GB in ImgBurn and the max they will burn is 2x and it takes and hour to write the media about 35GB and 30 min or so to write 25GB I have a quad core AMD 945 and an LGBH10 burner, your logs that you posted show a DVD drive and not a Bluray burner? Evey thing depends on your setup I burn movie only and it takes about 25-30 min for Fab to write the file to the HDD I don't compress, but like Malcolm explained if you do compress always do it on the HDD. You might want to post your internal log so we can take a look and see whats going on!

I dont knoe if it matters but the frive it selects is a DVDRM drive and not a BD drive! Here is my log form Faster I just did movie only and no compression. I will try and compress movie down to 25 gb if its possible not ure what the uncompressed file size is.

I have used this software for DVD copy and I am new with BR so please bear with me. When you talk about the codes are you talking about the A/V codec, if so my video decode is at H.264 DXVA, VC1, MPEG2 and H.264 are at software are those correct?

Put them all to software and see if anything changes. Also your burn speeds should stay the same if you AWS set up and you are using ImgBurn, you burn should be the same speed and I burn a 25GB at 2.4x and it takes 30 min
