Is AC-3 True Incompatiable with BD-9?

Can an AC-3 True HD audio track be compressed onto a BD-9? When I attempt to do so, I get a DVD with video only.

I have a movie (Megamind) that has three English audio tracks. The main track is AC-3 True and there are two other AC-3 5.1 tracks. One is the Director's audio and the other has a narration for visually impaired over it. So both of those are unuseable to me. WhenI select the only good soundtrack, AC-3 True, and compress/burn to a BD-9 I get no audio.

I believe I may have answered my own question with a little research. The answer is: No, AC-3 is not compatiable with BD-9.

From a source on the internet, BD-9 (AVCHD) supports AC-3 1-5.1 and Linear PCM 7.1. So AC-3 True would not be supported.

The workaround for any BD that only has the movie track in AC-3 True is to use the "Remove HD Audio" option on the configuration screen. According to the DVDFab manual, this will convert the audio to AC-3 5.1. I did this and was able to successfully convert/burn the movie to a BD-9 disc with the correct audio stream.

If DVDFab used the phrase "Convert HD Audio" instead of "Remove HD Audio" it would make more sense. Just a thought...
