Verrrrry slow!

All of a sudden, my bluray burner is crawling when trying to copy The Fighter. So far, 10 minutes just to analyze the disk before copying. Then almost 6 minutes just to get to 1%. Estimated time showing as 2 hrs 42 minutes. Never had this problem before. Could it be my burner is "burning out"? I am using a Hl-DT-ST BD-RE BH20N ATA burner that came swith my Dell. Any ideas?

It could be a multitude of things! First you will need to post your logs under c drive documents DVDFab just copy and paste the log for the fighter. And yes your drive could be going out but thats a last resort for the situation. You will have to give some info on your processes and also what stuff you have running at the time.

Hi tommytt
You are compressing from the drive, do not do this.
Save the movie as BD50 main movie or full disc depending on what you want to your hard drive.
Then reopen Fab and use the rip you just did as your source, choose options such as audio, subtitles, etc. and then set your output to BD25 and save to you hard drive again.
After done you can then burn to disc.

I don't understand this. I copied the movie once before exactly the same way and it worked seemlessly. Then I tried to do it again and this happened. I selected BD50 (no compression) same as I have done before many times and that's when this all happened. All the problems are happening during the copy process. It never gets to the burn process.

According to your logs you are trying to compress a 50GB movie to a 25GB movie. CBR is telling you to save the 50GB movie to the HDD first so your output will be 50GB, its a few step process once the 50GB files is on the HDD load that file as your source (you will not need the original at this point) and select your HDD as the target again. Select your options e.g. main movie, compress to 25GB, or remove HD Audio. Then compress away! When its done you will have another folder that you burn with ImgBurn. These steps help save your burner and make compression allot faster!

I didn't think I was trying to compress but perhaps I was. IN the interim, I tried to copy it again (37 GB to 37 GB) using BD50

I am having the same problems with this BD. Rip to iso or full disc. Then compressing to main movie 25GB failed several times, then it completed the compression and crashed while burning with ImgBurn. I finall y it to finish by taking the compressed movie directly into ImgBurn instead of letting DVDFab trigger it.

As an experiment, I went back to 8.0.7.3 and everything worked fine.
