    Copy Protected Disc PLEASE HELP!

    Hi I've been having an issue copying The Social Network as a protected disc. This doesn't seem to be the same problem that many people have been having with the size being too small. It ends up being around 23GB after compression which seems to be right from what has been said on here. I've tried about everything in terms of type of copy (protected): Full Disc, Full Disc with HD audio removed, Main Movie.. etc. and they all fail the same way. Everything seems to copy and compress perfectly fine but when it comes time to write onto the BD-R it pops up "Error: Process Failed!" right away. I've tried both ImgBurn and VSO and they both result in the same error.

    I promise I'm not trying to repost anything! I've thoroughly read through the forum looking for this issue and have tried everything that everyone else has mentioned in regards to any similar problems people have had copying protected Cinavia discs, including The Social Network. However, it seems like most people only had this problem with the older version of DVDFab and have supposedly had it addressed int he newer version. I'm running the latest version 8.0.8.5 though and I'm STILL having this problem! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Post your logs for this movie, internal log. Also are you using the original disc and copying straight to the writer not the HDD?

      Thanks for your reply! It's copying to a temp folder on my HDD and then to the disc, that's how I've always done it anyways. I also have the box checked for DVDFab to not delete my temp files in case something ever goes wrong in the write process so I don't have to recompress. Unfortunately in this case with the Cinavia protected disc it seems as if this doesn't matter because you can't write from files anyways though. I'm at work right now but I have all the logs on my home computer and have perused them some but haven't been able to interpret them myself. I will post all of them on here as soon as I get home around 6:00 PST and hopefully you will be able to make more sense of them. Thanks for your help!

          It looks like you are trying to burn an ISO and you cannot do that you need to burn regular and select your burner as the output.

            It shouldn't be burning an ISO.. I'm burning it as I burn all my blu rays, the only difference is checking the Cinavia box. Insert the disc and select the disc drive as the output. The files it creates are the regular blu ray files.. no ISO. Is there anything else it could be or any recommendations on what exactly I should try?

              I remember another poster had an issue with the losers, giving the same error and it was fixed in the next release. Might have to be forwarded to Fengtao, if I can get my hands on a copy of The Social Network I will give it a try!

                Yea I read through that post but it appeared to me like he stopped having issues with the latest updates. Unfortunately no matter what I do I can't seem to fix this error still! If you could give it a shot and let me know exactly what works for you I'd greatly appreciate it, thanks.

                        After reading through the forums and reading your post, I have had very similar symptoms/trial and error with trying to make a protected disc of The Other Guys. I think it might be a drive compatibility problem. I'm using an external usb slim Asus Blu-Ray drive.

                          Teedster thanks for your reply! If it is a drive issue do you know any specific fix or workaround to still successfully copy/burn a protected disc? If it's any help, the drive that I use is an LG GGW-H20L seen here:

                              You may also try to use software settings if you do not have a decent graphics card, to do this Open Fab click the Click the Green √ at top right corner of the DVDFab screen, and open Common Settings > General >A/V Codec, set Video Decoder to Software and set Video Encoder to Software restart Fab and try again.

                              If you still have this error in your next log you may need to uninstall Fab and run a cleaner like CCleaner found here to clean the registry for leftover files, and then reinstall Fab.

                              Also do not compress from your drive, always save to your HDD and then open Fab back up and compress to another spot on your drive as this will save wear and tear on your Blu-Ray drive.
