Hi, I was wondering if you guys might have a solution to my problem. I copied a blue-ray movie Saturday night fever, to my hard drive uncompress, then I tried using Dvdfab to copy the movie and Imgburn to burn the movie to a BD- R 25GB disc, but when I put the blank disc in my BD drive it tells me the media inserted in drive is not a double layer BD disc. Please insert a double layer disc to start write process. I clearly chose the option to compress the movie from a 40GB disc to a 25 GB disc. And it shows me that the movie will be compress from a 40 to a 23GB, so why is it telling me to insert a double layer disc? Am I doing something wrong? Like I said I copied the movie to my hard-drive in to folder Dvdfab uncompress, then I tried to compress it and burn it to disc. I'm trying to copy the full movie. The movie is approximately 40GB. And like I said I chose the option to compress it, so it will fit in the 25GB disc. But I get that message telling me to insert a double layer BD disc. What's the problem? It seems I can only copy the main movie minus the menus, and extra features. Any help would be appreciate it.

Hi lcortez
Please lower your burn speed to 4X you are burning at max speed.
Please read through this thread on setting up ImgBurn to work with Fab and set up your AWS in ImgBurn to 1/2 the rated speed of your disc, you can not choose 5X so use 4X.
That file should be able to fit on the disc, but you may try changing the output size a little lower, to do this Open Fab click the Click the Green √ at top right corner of the DVDFab screen, and open Common Settings > DVD/Blu-Ray> Write. Writable Media BD-25 set to 23000.
Also open up ImgBurn click Tools > Settings > Build > Page 2 > on the top Read Buffer Size > set to 384, also I/O > Page 2 > Buffer size > set to 384 > click OK.
Give this a try and post

Thank you for you're help CBR929! I did what you sujested. I changed the output size to 23000 from what it was. I also changed the aws from max to 4x the speed of my disc. I put the ID number of my disc in Imgburn, and then the speed of my disc. I also change the read buffer size, and buffer to 384 like you sujested. Well it worked. I was able to burn a full movie on to a BD25 disc, but when I played the movie in my BD player I was unable to fast FW, or RW the movie. It played, but like I said I couldn't fast FW, or RW the movie. I don't know if is just a problem with my BD player, or a problem with the movie. I'll have to try it on my brothers PS3 to see if I incounter the same problem. I was able to burn the movie in about 30, or 35 minutes. It's that a typical burn speed for everybody? It's not the fastes, but it wasn't an hour or longer either. My computer it's pretty old by computer standers. It's 5 years old, that might have something to do with the amount of time it takes to burn a movie. I'm currently building a new computer, and I'm hoping this might solve a lot of the issues I have with my current computer. I have a question. Do you know if I'm able to transfer the licence key from my current computer to the new computer I'm building? Can I install Dvdfab on the new computer with my old licence key, or do I need to buy Dvdfab all over in order to install on my new PC. Thank You once again for you're help.

I am glad that I was able to help you and get it working.
The burn speed is not bad, you do not want to burn at max and burning to slow also causes problems so that is why we suggest burning at 1/2 the rated speed of your media.
Yes, you will be able to transfer your license to your new computer.
You would go here and sign in using the E-mail that you used when you had purchased Fab and create a password, then type what you see in the box and a screen will pop up with the options that you have purchased, just make sure that the options have a check in the box and click resend key and you will be all set.
Make sure to delete Fab and your keys from your HDD on your old computer so as to not get your key blacklisted, if you plan on getting rid of it.
You can have Fab on more than one computer but, YOU CAN NOT RUN THEM AT THE SAME TIME this will get your key blacklisted.
I do not do Blu-Ray at the moment so I do not have any suggestions for the FWD and RW issues, I'm sorry.
EDIT
Your drive also has a firmware update, you will find it here
NOTE if you do not know how to flash your drive do not do it, it will render your drive useless.
Again glad to help

The fast forwarding and rewinding problem with movies has been a problem for awhile now. Still not fixed completely with new versions. Its a hit and miss thing when it comes to this problem. Some movies will fast forward and rewind while others don't. No fix as of yet. Was suppose to be fixed in updated versions but still this problem continues. Hopefully soon they will have this fixed.
