ATI stream

i have a laptop with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5850 video card.
when i select in A/V Codec ATI stream a messages pops up with "video card not supported"

is this a bug ?

ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 5800 Series is supporting it and normal non-Mobility 5850 is also supporting it, so your Mobility 5850 should support it. Have to wait for an answer of a dev or official support.

I have an ATI Radeon HD 5670 and it didn't work at first (video card not supported). I installed the latest drivers (11-3_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_ocl.exe and 11-3_vista_win7_32-64_xcode.exe) and it now works. I will tell you that installing ATI driver updates has always been a pain for me to get working properly. I would try installing the drivers again following these instructions (http://superuser.com/questions/15158...-drivers-fails). You will also want to install and run Driver Sweeper (http://phyxion.net/Driver-Sweeper/Driver-Sweeper/). Good luck!
