    Nero Write Failure

Hoping someone can halp me here before I go crazy. I just bought a Blu Ray and wan't to start ripping these discs. I have tried several times to do so, and was even successful using the "clone" option. When I try to use the "full disc" or "main movie" option, which is what I wan't so I can compress them to 25GB, the system fails to write the image after Nero gets started. I am just trying to create an .iso on the C: drive. Here are the logs:

    Burn process failed!

    Thanks for any help!

Copy the movie to the HDD as BD50 then put the BD50 file as the source and make the target your HDD again. Select main movie or which ever you want then compress on the HDD. DL ImgBurn its the preferred burning engine select write files and folders then select the folder you just wrote which will be under main movie or full disc then select the BMDV file and it will ask if you want to include the Certificate which you do and burn away. Is there a reason you are making an ISO? Also ImgBurn is free and once its on your computer setup the AWS for the bluray media you are using. Also for writeable media make sure 23000 is set.
    For Win7 C:\Users\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\Log
    or Vista C:\Users\User Name\Documents\DVDFab\Log
    or for XP C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\Log

      Hi

Please click the tick green icon button at the right top corner of the DVDFab screen, open "Common Settings" window, click on "A/V Codec" to disable the Lightning-Recoding to see the result.

The version of Nero that you are using is about 10 years old also. Does it even support Blu-Ray ISO writing?

          VSO Burning Engine

Thanks for all of your comments. I am trying to create an .iso to play on my networked media server (Popcorn Hour). I too was wondering about Nero being too old.

I don't know why, but when I loaded DVDFab it defaults to Nero as the burning engine. After reading several other posts, and the one in here that described how to change the settings, I simply changed the burning engine to one that is provided by DVDFab (VSO burning engine).

Worked like a charm so now I am off to the races.

Just out of curiousity, should it take nearly 3.5 hours to rip a blu ray to 25G? I can do it using the clone method in 1.5 hours, but I guess the compression may be responsible for the large difference.

          Thanks in advance.

You should DL ImgBurn its what most user use!! Also I explained above to compress on your hard drive, this will save your burner from wear and tear and make compression faster.

I will give this a try. Thanks for the suggestion. About how long will this process take me compared to the 3.5 hour process I used? Thanks!
