All of a sudden ripping is only getting as far as about 25%?

So I have managed without hitch to backup 10 blu ray movies.

Now I have come to Bank Job and No Country for Old Men and both of them are getting to about 25% and going no further. The 'Task Time Left' Just says 00:00:00 while the Elapsed time just keeps rising with no activity.

It doesn't crash or give an error, it lets me cancel and try again.

Any ideas?

I would try to reinstall dvdfab 8.0.8.5. Did this just happen when you installed 8.0.8.5? I have been having lots of issues with new official release. I just installed latest beta version and it seems to work better. If you can't seem to get things to work for you,you can install one of the older versions here is the web address. www.oldapps.com/dvdfab.php I have been using the older version 8.0.7.3 seems to work better and not as many hicups.

Your drive should be defragged weekly anyway, as this is required maintenance that many people do not do, and I am sure that that other maintenance on computers is neglected also.

Also this is not a full log, please post a full log if you want the best possible assistance.

Just copy and paste the log for the movies you are having problems with it will show the date and time you started its usually the last log entry if you have not burned any more!

I know computers pretty well and end up fixing other folks most of the time. Running defrag once per month should be quite enough (although I haven't for ages as it perfoms well but after doing it they are now 0% fragmented) but it depends on how you use your system I guess.

How much free disc space should you have for this on your C: drive? I have it split partitioned with loads on D: where this is being copied to but only have 39.1 available on the C:

Hi

DVDFab Blu-ray Copy program needs at least 50 GB of Free Hard Disk Space.

Please click the tick green icon button at the right top corner of the DVDFab screen, open "Common Settings" window, click on "General", you can change the output directory and temporary from C drive to the other drive which has enough free place.

Well, last night I did a disk cleanup freeing just over 53gb on the C: and it did the same. I have just switched so the temporary drive is the D: and no chnage.

Just observing it this morning I can hear the drive going full speed at just over 10Mb/s until it at 20% it suddenly slows right down over a few minutes to less than 0.1Mb/s, effectively stopping.

A short while later it speeds back up again until grinding to a halt at 52%

I am confused. I wonder if the drive is to blame?

Hmm, so after having this problem with 2 of my latest discs (No Country for Old Men & Bank Job) the Social Network has just completed OK!

Could it be then that just coincidently I get 2 titles in a row which are the problem all of a sudden?

Has anyone else ripped the 2 I'm having trouble with?
