After reading some posts I realized there should be a list of basic equipment for burning blu-rays
Basic Equipment:
A computer with atleast a duo cor processor (sometimes labeled X2 core) ( I suggest a X4 (quad core) or Higher processor. It does decrease decoding time)
A hard drive with atleast 100gbs open
4 or more gigabytes of memory.
A video card Nvidia with Cuda, or an ATI card.
BD-ROM
BD Writer
DVDfab Blu-ray To Blu-ray
Optional Equipment and Media:
A Secondary hard drive. Size is up to you.
A BD-RE (Rewriteable blu-ray) (This will save on making expensive coasters)
BD-R L (50gb)
BD-R (25gb)
The biggiest thing to do is research. thats the mistake that many people dont do. Make sure your Burner, burns the media you want to back up. Another common mistake is assuming a BD-ROM will burn blu-ray this is not the case. You have to check the box and make sure it states under Write formats BD-R BD-RE etc.
If anyone else wants to add to the list please feel free to.
