tangled freezing & skipping

still having problems with the movie tangled freezing and skipping parts of the movie using version 8.0.8.5. Used older version 8.0.7.9 which then the movie works fine. Just tried again using the latest version 8.0.9.2 and the movies still skips using the newer version.

Just wanted to let you know that i have chaged a/v codec before to all of them to software. This did not fix the problem. I just did this one tring to use the default setting for a/v codec to see if this would fix the problem which didn't.

I just think that it is weird that older version works with no problems. 8.0.7.9
I think there must be some kind of a bug or something in newer version. Had this problem ever since 8.0.8.5 no updates have fixed this problem. Only does this on certain movies not all movies. Tangled & Jackass 3 that i know for sure that this happens. This is backing up only using movie only not full disc. I don't know if this happens if you backup using full disc mode.

Hi 0brian
If your copy is skipping it may be that you are burning at max speed, try slowing down your burn speed to 4X

You may also have better luck with ImgBurn as your burn engine you will find it here along with a tutorial on setting it up with Fab remember to set up the AWS in ImgBurn to 1/2 the rated speed of your disc.

Do you generally burn BDs at 8X?
Are you in fact, selecting 8X or are you letting the software choose for you?

I'll bet your problems vanish when you switch to Img

I've had similar problems with Inception and Deathly Hallows (see my other thread), even with updated firmware and burning at 4x. Moving back to 8.0.7.3 fixed the problem. Where can I find a copy of 8.0.7.9? I would like to try that.

To get old apps. here is the address
I always burn at 2x. I have it selected at 2x speed on my options for burn speed. So i don't know why it says that i have selected to burn at 8x speed. My blank disc are only good up to 4x speed. I will have to try img./burn.. I'm not sure why it would work using version 8.0.7.9 using vso engine and now it won't work with the newer version 8.0.9.2 with the vso engine. I don't think changing to img/burn is going to make a difference but i will try it and see.

Sorry i was able to back up this movie using version 8.0.7.3 not 8.0.7.9
