    NO media Detected

    Hey guys,
My post in another thread on this same subject was deleted, dont know why?

    Anyway,
I have the latest official release (8.0.9.2qt) using a Pioneer 206 BD drive. Up until now, I have had everything working fine until trying to backup "social Network" to a blank BD-R. All went well until it asked for blank media, I inserted the disc and the same dialog box of "no media detected" hung on the screen?

Any thoughts? Another person person being able to go back into Fab and located the temp file Fab created and burned it to disc.
Can you guys shed any light on what is happening?

    Thanks,
    Brandon

    Anyone?
I forgot to mention I was following the step by step process for creating a Cinavia backup (done it before successfully) and for whatever reason that "no media detected dialog box" would not go away.

    Running XP
    Pioneer 206 BD

      Hi bigbwb

The temp folder for XP C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\Temp

EDIT: There have been others having problems with the NO media Detected also, not sure what the problem is.
Could you post your logs XP C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\Log

I'm running Vista 32, Nvidia GeForce 8200M G graphics and have an external ASUS SBW-06C1S-U and have run across the same problems. I have tried making protected backups for Cinavia movies also with no luck. I have tried this with Resident Evil: Afterlife and the Tourist. It either gets stuck on "detecting media in drive F" or "no media detected" and I have to stop it in task manager to get it to stop. I can make a backup that's not protected just fine, but it will only play for about 20 minutes in my PS3 before I get the Cinavia box and muted audio. I have written DVD Fab support a month ago and last time I heard back from them they said they were able to duplicate my problem. I have yet to hear if the fixed it yet since. I think I'm just as frustrated as you. It's annoying that the website says it should work when it really doesn't. At least make a list of Blu Ray writers that this program is compatible with.

Here is a burn of the Tourist I did a minute ago. I had to end it in task manager because my drive kept spinning while it was stuck on "no media detected." The light on the burner wasn't blinking, just spinning the disk.

It seems VSO burning engine giving you a hard time. Please go , read this thread, download, install ans set ImgBurn as it recommended, and use ImgBurn as your burning engine for DVDFab.

Your log shows Task_2 (burning) is failed, not DVDFab. It's a very much VSO-like behavior.
If ImgBurn behaved similarly, please check I/O and reset DMA. Search this forum if needed...

Yes, I know the search feature, and I even deleted and re installed IMGBurn. It only does this when I'm trying to burn a encripted disk. BTW, the last log I posted was with using IMGBurn.

I am not sure if you can do this with a Cinavia protected disc, but can you save it to a folder and then open ImgBurn and burn to disc?

I downloaded it to my hdd, then I tried to burn it to a disk but it didn't give me the option to make a encripted disk. The box to check didn't show up.

Not sure I got it right. You have a Blu-ray as source but the burn log shows that you selected the DVD burner as target

What model/brand of Blu-ray burner do you have? Not all support the function to create a Cinavia disc that works in PS3.

I noticed that too. I checked the settings and everything but I can assure you that I select my F drive for the destination. My burner is an ASUS sbw-06c1s-u.

                              Hi rockyhahn
This may be a long shot but have you tried updating your drives firmware???
The newest firmware for your drive is SR09, you have SC04.
Please visit your computer manufactures site and download the newest firmware, if this is an OEM drive you may be able to install this firmware

NOTE: If you do not know how to flash your drive do not do it,it will render your drive useless, and by flashing your drive you take full responsibility if something should go wrong.
