    No audio on Star Trek

I have copied Star Trek twice and gotten beautiful video but no audio. Using v 6.2.0.5 to copy Main Movie. On the first try I left the audio settings on default. On the 2nd try, I used 'select first track' in the audio settings. The last time I had audio problems, this fixed the problem, but not this time.

A couple of weeks ago, when I tried to copy Pelham 123, in addition to the regular audio, I got the voice over describing what was happening. I didn't come to the forum for that problem because I decided I didn't need the back up.

    Suggestions?

Just to let you know your post has not gone unread. I was hoping another forum member might offer up some suggestions and to be honest it sounds like you have tried everything I would have suggested. If you were referring to the new Star Trek XI then you might have to wait for the next beta and hopefully that will solve all your problems. Please check back here often for an update or suggestion to fix your problem. Check out this thread for a possible fix because others report they are getting audio but similar to you Pelham 123 problem

When I have issues with audio, I tend to demux the original m2ts file with tsmuxer to get the original audio track, convert said track to AC3 with eac3to.exe and mux it into the m2ts file created by DVDFab. I might be oversimplifying it a bit but it works a treat.

I tested ts muxer only to combine multiple m2ts files ripped by fab and it did work great. There were maybe 10-15 files and it combined them in about 15 minutes.

Thanks Wild & Blue. Yes, I am referring to the new ST. Just for grins, I went back to 6.1.2.0 and tried again. In the audio options I had the right panel cleared & 'select first track' marked. On the copy frame I marked English AC-3/2 just because I hadn't tried it before. I got the sound track with the director's commentary, as I should have.

I have never paid much attention to the beta versions. When one is available, does it show up on the download page?

You can find the latest beta here on the forum's main page. it's version 6202 near the top.

Similar issue with "Main Movie" - the audio is the commentary, not the THD soundtrack (even with the THD track selected).
              Version 6.2.0.2

              Also, no help with ??
I'll stop copying movies when I can watch the movies I own without FBI warnings, forced trailers, commentary notices, etc. etc.

Depending on the media player, you may or may not be able to select the audio stream. VLC media player for instance allows you to select the audio stream; whereas, PowerDVD Ultra that I have does not.
See VLC media player at www.videolan.org

                  DTS to AC3

I have also had audio problems with backing up Night At The Museum 2. The problem seems to be the fact that the audio should be converted to AC3 and not DTS. Maybe this will be corrected in the next version. In the meantime use TSMuxer to extract the audio and convert to AC3 with eAC3 as suggested. Otherwise should play fine in most settop blueray players i.e. PS3.

If you are using Windows 7, I have discovered that DTS is not supported by default, and that changing the default audio codec to support DTS is near impossible. Hope this helps out.

I may be wrong but I don't think that's a fault with Fab. If the original audio track is DTS then Fab is working correctly. Fengtao included an option to remove HD audio.

That would be based on the software being used for playback, not the OS. I have a clean install of Win7 and using TMT3 for playback with no problems and I haven't installed any codecs.

you can set an audio stream on autostart with BDedit manually... (you will have to read some stuff till you know what to do)

DVDFab does this also (creating one command for Audio and Sub) so you would have to delete Fab's set command and create your own one...

There you can set one command for audio and one for sub... you could also create one command which sets both like fab but this one is a little bit more complicated.
