The Roommate m2ts bad sync in IMGBurn

I didn't want to create a new thread but I would like to get some suggestions/answers on this, cause I've tried twice.

Running latest final DVDFab and I created a full copy protected disc. IMGBurn is not showing me a log of this burn but it writes the whole movie successfully but will not play in PS3/Panasonic BTT750. I wish I wrote down exactly what IMGBurn was writing in the log during burn but I forgot...Something along the lines of M2ts bad sync and some numbers and keeps repeating throughout.

    Here's the log from DVDFab

    Hi vWvSTATICvWv

I do not know why Fab did not create a ImgBurn log in the Fab folder, but if you Open ImgBurn click help > ImgBurn logs you will see your logs and you can post the log showing the error you were receiving.

Hey CBR, Fab has an IMGBurn log file but nothing in there is of use...it's giving my specs and that it completed successfully. It's very basic with no errors shown.

This is exactly what the last burn showed bc I stopped it...I knew it wouldn't work bc of those same bad sync errors I was getting the first time. IMGBurn only has a full log of my last successful burn which was 8 days ago.

      IMGBurn:

        Hi vWvSTATICvWv
Try turning off Lightning-Recoding to do this
Open Fab click the Click the Green at top right corner of the DVDFab screen, and open Common Settings > General >A/V Codec, uncheck the box for Enable Lightning-Recoding, restart Fab and try again.

Ok I'll give it a shot. Should I disable all GPU codecs for decoding and encoding?

            Hi vWvSTATICvWv
I probably would since I do not see any NVidia GPU in your signature, only ATI, so make sure they are all set to software.

Ok I didn't check that shut off GPU setting but I unchecked lightning recording and came up with the same errors in IMGBurn. Here's a snapshot

                  CPI = Copy Permission Indicator

It's a flag in certains packets within the m2ts file and it shouldn't be set on unprotected files - which of course is all ImgBurn can deal with.
hello, i ripped some of my brothers DVDs with anydvd hd by just copying the visible files from the dvd to my hdd - about some days ago i stated the build the iso/mds build session - just for using DVD Fab or BD Rebuilder to shrink them to BD25. only with some (2 out of 10) of that ripped files i ...

The copy protection is not removed?

So Fab is not removing the protection? Is this new protection or something? It's late & I'm exhausted...so I basically can not make a back up of this movie @ this time, correct?
*EDIT* I googled and found a program called cpistrip which removes the copy protection indicator strip...Am I heading in the right direction with this?

                      Hi vWvSTATICvWv

Did you see any other errors in ImgBurn?
                      Like:
Retry Failed - Reason: Invalid Address For Write
Failed to Write Sectors xxxxxxx - xxxxxxx - Reason: Power Calibration Area Error

You would also get that error if you are using garbage disc's.

Did ImgBurn give you a log this time?

                        Hey CBR
It's possible it's media related. I didn't want to risk using the discs I've been using all along, with no issues. For these protected copies, I've been using Phillips white inkjet printable BDR's I got from MicroCenter...10pk for $14.99. I'll try one of the discs that hasn't failed me yet and report back.

Well, another fail. Seems like media is not the issue. It's not my burner bc I've burned a different BluRay(no cinavia) with no problems. Here's the log of IMGBurn from start to finish(when I cancelled)

The Green Hornet is Cinavia protected and as you do create a protected disc, the message in ImgBurn is to be ignored.

As you can see, the rows starts with an "I" = Information. It's not an error.
