    "300" Blue Ray read error

I can't seem to copy the blue ray "300". I keep getting read errors during the evaluation. If I skip read errors it'l go a little farther and do it again and eventually lock up. Using beta 8.1.0.2 along with older releases. Cleaned the disk, etc. etc. Plays fine with Power DVD9 and my LG blue ray player. I'm just stumped.

        Hi, turdle

Please click the tick green icon button at the right top corner of the DVDFab screen, open "Common Settings" window, click on "Read", select "ignore all the reading errors automatically".

Then, try again to see the result.

Thanks for the idea but it didn't seem to work. After 10.75 hours it was only 8.6% done with the drive seeming to be in an endless loop. I have listed my log below.

            can't copy Blu-ray movie 300

            Hi turdle,

            1) You can download and install VSO Inspector at http://www.vso-software.fr/products/.../inspector.php and run a disc surface scan on the original Blu-ray disc to see if you get any errors.

            2) Also, try using other Blu-ray movies and see if you can copy them well.

              Hi Anny
This will not work if the copy protection is not removed first.

              @ turdle
You will need to download VSO Inspector, insert the disc into your drive, open Fab and let Fab analyze the disc but do not close Fab or try to copy the disc.
Start up VSO Inspector and then run a surface scan on the disc.

You may also try to reset DMA on your drive to do this:
Open Fab Click the Green top right > General > make sure Check for DMA Automatically is Checked and also Click the Reset DMA to the right click OK and restart Fab.

Thanks Anny and CBR929 for your clarification.
I tried another disk, started DVDFab and then ran VSO Inspector. I got a lot of errors like "illegal operation" and "unable to read sector". Time to break out the heavy guns. I totally removed DVDFab and all it's previous versions, got into regedit and removed all instances of DVDFab, rebooted and started a fresh install of DVDFab 8.1.0.5. At first it would not detect my Blu-Ray and my DVD drives but I found Windows didn't see them either. After correcting that I was able to copy "Inception" (couldn't copy that either) and then tried "300" again. Same old story, read errors. It looks like it might have been a hardware/software issue at first, but now I'm suspecting a bad disk. I'm going to try VSO on the 300 disk and see what happens.

Thanks again and I'll keep you posted

I totally agree with my good friend CBR929, but since Fab Blu-ray Copy is not able to "decrypt" 300 accurately, perhaps another software (or two) will yield better results.

Do you still have the free-trial available for Passkey Blu-ray?
I realize the decrypting code is the same, but Passkey works differently, ie., as an on-the-fly-decrypter (windows driver in the background).

If yes, please D/L and install and give it another shot.
You also may consider trying trying Nero CD-DVD Speed in place of VSO.

                    Again, where one fails...

It's a shot in the dark, but who knows?
They're both free, provided you still have the Fab free trial available to you.

                    Here's a link for nero:

                    Nero CD-DVD Speed v4.7.7.16
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Thank you for everyone's help and suggestions. It turned out to be a bad disk of "300". As usual, it looked fine (not a scratch or abrasion on it) but failed any attempt by any software to be error free. I borrowed another copy of "300" and it read and copied just fine. My hats off again to DVDFab! It's nice to see so many offer their support.
