The best audio settings for PS3

I rip a loss-less bluray to m2ts via dvdfab. I am wondering what audio is the best to stream from my external hdd to my ps3. As of right now I am using ac3 cause as far as I know you cant stream hd audio to the ps3. So is ac3 5.1 the best sound i can get or is there something better?
