    Ripping Issues - New to BlueRay

    Been using DVD Fab for DVD backups for yrs. Love it! Recently got a Pioneer BDR-205 for my Dell 380 (4 gb ram) and upgraded to 6.2.0.5. My first attempt to backup a Blue-Ray ('Ghost of Girlfriends Past'...yes, wife gets to pick one out every now and then) is not going well. I've read through 10 page of posts hear and haven't picked up on anything obvious yet.

    Running XP Pro SP3. BDR-205 is recognized by XP by installing UDF 2.50 driver.
    DVD functionality of 6.2.0.5 works flawlessly, along with a couple functions I've tried in DVD to Mobile and File to Mobile!

    I've failed ~6 times in trying a Blue-Ray Main Movie backup with the same error occurring at various time during the rip;

    22:44:48: Source( 00001.m2ts )
    22:44:56: Analyzing started
    22:48:54: Analyzing completed successfully
    22:48:54: No compression needed
    22:48:54: Copy process started
    22:56:55: Task_1 failed! Error=1000(504.00 0 filter(type1:id1), info = 501.2 6,

    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Brian

    I'm not very familiar with the meaning of this error code. Please read the Help Us Help You document (link in my sig) and post the needed info and explain your process in more detail.

      System is a Dell 380, Dual Proc 3.2 GHz, 4 GB RAM. I've tried ripping to internal and external drives. I do not have a blue-ray software installed....maybe this is the problem?

      Thanks,
      Brian

        Another note is I have 2 internal drives. One is the Pioneer BDR-205, which DVD Fab is clearly trying to use for the Blue Ray disc, however the log file suggests it is trying to use the other drive Philips DVD RW?
