Compression Problem - The Blind Side

I tried compressing the 'movie only' to a BD25 and ended up with several instances of video breakup. This is what I did...

    1. Ripped the whole disc to an .ISO file last month (before I bought DVDFab) using other software. This image plays perfectly

    2. Used DVDFab to compress to BD25 with the Movie Only setting and subtitles removed. Compression factor was 80%. Playing the resulting .iso file showed breakup of the picture in many spots.

I am using TMT3 for playback and Virtual CloneDrive to mount the image.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Mike

The internal log and burn log of the compression session are...

    Hi Mike Mendelsohn

Please set all options to software and try again, to do this please Open Fab click the Click the Green at top right corner of the DVDFab screen, and open Common Settings > General >A/V Codec, put a check in Disable all GPU codes, and also uncheck Enable Lightning-Recoding restart Fab and try again.

    Hope this helps

I disabled the GPU option but left the Lightning Recording option enabled. That solved the problem, but the compression time went from 4 to over 6 hours.

Why doesn't the GPU option compress properly? Do I need to upgrade my video card to get better GPU operations?

      Thanks for your help,

      Mike

        Hi Mike Mendelsohn
Unless you have a decent GPU that supports Cuda and the latest drivers installed to help your CPU in the process, you can expect times like you are receiving.
