Can not disable Lightning-Recoding in newest version

I prefer not using any hardware acceleration or Lightning-Recoding.
I have checked the box "Disable all GPU...".
I have unchecked the box "Enable Lightning-Recoding..".
Quit/Save.
Restart.
Box "Enable Lightning-..." is checked.
Uncheck again.
Run job.
"Lightning-..." kicks in.
Check settings, "Lightning-..." box is checked.
Uncheck again.
Quit/Save.
Restart.
Box "Enable Lightning-..." is checked.

Tried dozens of times. No luck.
Program on Win 7 / 64bit.

On a closely related issue, if anyone would care to comment, "Lightning-..." has been around for a few months now. I am wondering if during this span of time any bugs or artifacts have been attributed to "Lightning-...". I am inclined to be very cautious, but perhaps my caution is not warranted in this case and I should just let the system run with "Lightning-..." on.

Thanks for report this issue.
We find the reason of this, we will fixed it asap.
BTW, you can uncheck "Disable all GPU" and set all a/v codec to SW & disable LR manually, and restart will be no issue.

I would like to report that I have tried the suggestion above: "you can uncheck "Disable all GPU" and set all a/v codec to SW & disable LR manually, and restart" in version 8.1.0.8.
Here is what happens: Although the "Enable L-R" box is NOT checked, the program indicated that L-R was activated. When program completed, I double checked the setting: Enable L-R was indeed NOT checked, but the program still activated L-R.
