Starting Over - Newbie Again, Need Some Help Pls

    Hi Anyone,

It's been months since I've used the software so basically I'm starting over. The problem I'm having is excessive time writing to HD. What makes it worse I'm using an Full Copy ISO that I did Oct. 7th, 2010.

    My System is as follows:

    Win 7 Home Premium SP1
    MB - ASUS P7P55D-E PRO
    Intel i7 860 @ 2.80 GHZ
    Mem 8GM DDR3 1333 MHz
    2TB - WD 7200 RPM
    Thermaltake 850 PWS

When I installed v8.1.1.2Qt it left behind the previous version so I un-installed it but I did not look to see what version it was.

I can't post a log because the program didn't complete the compression from 50GB.iso to 25GB.iso. I used Software for Video Decoding and Software + Cuda for Encoding. Also Disable GPU codecs and Enable Lightning Recording were unchecked.

If anyone can give me some directions on settings etc I would really appreciate it.

Sorry for your trouble, but I'm not sure I'm connecting the dots accurately.

    Let's get some basics established.
    You're attemting to re-rip a burned BD50 .ISO and compress this to a BD25?
    Why?

    Do you have the original?
Is this behavior reproduced with any original BD disc?

Firstly, do not compress on the initial rip (from the disc)
Compress/convert/modify only from ripped files already on the hdd.

This disc is already decrypted if I understand correctly....no need to decrypt.

Try setting your Video Decoder settings to CUDA and set your Video Encoder to Software only. You can also try leaving your Decoder settings to software so everything is set to software.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Yes this movie was a copied with no compression to iso. I'm now trying to take the that iso file down to BD25 iso so I can use virtual drive to check before I copy to disc so that I'm not making coasters.

So what am I doing wrong now when I want copy to a BD25?

While I have been waiting I tried to back up one of my new movies. The Guardian.

1st I set the decoder to software and the encoder to software + cuda. When I start the project it was coping at about 26 MB/s.

2nd I stopped the copy and started again but this time the decoder is set to cuda and the encoder is software + cuda. This time the copy speed is 12 MB/s.

      Again thanks for your help
