Wont scan Blu-Ray discs when inserted-hangs

Put the trial of 8.1.2.5 QT on, and I run the program.
I put in the Blu-Ray disc and the machine just hangs and the app goes into a "Not Repsonding" state.

If I switch back to an older version like 8.1.2.0, it reads BR just fine.

Was hoping to try some Star Wars backups witht his latest version.. oh well.

Anyone else having issues like this?

Running windows XP.. No need to run as admin. I am using the only account on the machine, which is admin.
Attached is the log file, which probably wont tell much.

I've downgraded to 8.1.2.0 which continues to work fine, but I'm worried that all upgrades from this point will not work for me.
