    Arrrgh...what am i doing wrong?

    Hello gang,

    I'm trying to burn discs...BD 25...coasters everywhere. New burner this weekend (Asus)...what am i doing wrong?
    Original Disc > BD50 to HDD > BD50 to BD25 on HDD > BD25 to disc
    Before someone comes at me with the cut/paste 'you got garbage discs' reply I bought Taiyo Yuden off the advice of this forum so...if there are other options, let me know...
    This is frustrating, but I fight on. TIA for any advice given. Perhaps my Fab settings are off? It says poor quality disc...and drive error...i'm at a loss on this one

    my advice would be to stop using VSO burn engine and use Imgburn.

    also I would use a custom target size, closer to ~23 GB ...just because the disc says 25GB doesn't mean it will actually hold that much.

        thanks for the suggestions...i switched to imgburn, still no dice.
        will look into the custom file size closer to 23gb...although i thought that dvdfab sized things down automatically if you picked bd 25??? ah well, back to the drawing boards...it will get figured out...thanks again!

          I can give three bits of advice.
          1: First and foremost: Get your self some re-write 25g BR's, saves a ton of money.
          2: Get a LG burner. I tried all the rest Sony, Asus, Pelxtor, Imatation, they all suck
          "in my opinion"
          3: When you are burning, do not use computer for anything else. Nada, Zip, Zilch.
          My "movie computer" is disconnected from the web, when I am making disks.

            Set up AWS for ImgBurn also because you purchased some good media does not mean you cant get a bad press, not saying thats the issue but its happened. Now as suggested by another OP pick up a good quality BDRE like TDK or Verbatim just as a reference disc, to see if you stop making coasters!
