I have ripped several BR to Hard drive using BR copy main movie option. These HD files play well however when I then compress to DVD 5 the resultant movie jitters and is unplayable. If I use DVDFAB 8.0.8.5 to compress and burn then all is well.

What info do you need to investigate?

Jitters

I have found out the problem. It has nothing to do with differences between versions 8.0.3.5 and 8.1.3.6QT. I managed to burn a BD5 720p disc using 8.1.3.6QT, this played perfectly without jitters. The problem is when I check Convert DTS/LPCM audio to AC3, then the disc has the jitters.

Did you try an older version of DVDFab like 8.0.7.3? And how are your computer's specs?

It worked fine with a non QT rlease but I suspect that is because the option to convert DTS to AC3 is not there...
My PC is a little old, could poor processor power be a problem then?

I tried on an I7 laptop with a cuda graphics chip. I had to disable cuda processing as it caused a crash but the BR5 disc produced also had the jitters when I selected convert DTS to AC3

Re-tested with 8.1.6.3 version and now this seems to work just fine.

Most likely because of these fixes:

• 8.1.6.1 Fix: Lightning-Recoding should not be enabled when GPU encoder is enabled.
• 8.1.6.2 Fix: A jerky playback problem when using Lightning-Recoding.
