WHen I try to start it, it reads the disk and then kicks it out the error below.

I had this same error on my Iron Man 2 movie I took it back for another one and I could back it up. Now with your copy process you said you put the blu-ray in and compress it right away? What might help you is instead of compressing it right away make a full disc back up to your hard drive and then use that file to compress the main movie. It will save your drive and may even cure your problem.

I was not compressing...at least not intentionally.

I already did the Full Disc copy @ BD50 and that worked.
Then ripped with handbrake and tagged with MetaZ

Just seemed silly that the Main movie puked.

I just tried and succeeded on backin up The Dark Knight main movie on a BD-RE just to see if I would have the same issue. I however ended up settin all a/v to software and disabled lightning encoding. Maybe that was your problem but since you did a full back up thats great. How long did it take?

Not sure how long it took...just drop it in the PC and go.
Come back some time later and check on it.

I did not change any other settings. I do have an NVIDIA card and DVDfab likely did some CUDA processing....as I believe that is the default.

recently dvdfab seems to not rely on cuda try disabling it and see what happens.
