Not much to go on here, post the logs. If you are using a laptop heat build up will cause this. Rip to the hard drive uncompressed and then compress from the folder, should run cooler and save wear and tear on your optical drive.
My pc shuts down when compressing a BD from disc or from HD. I'm usring DVDFab 8 qt.
Thx
Dave
It's kinda like saying my car shuts down while driving! Along with what 90312 said we also need your system specs what's running in the back ground when you start? More info!
For Win7 C:\Users\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\Log
or Vista C:\Users\User Name\Documents\DVDFab\Log
or for XP C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\Log

addboy,
most likely your computer cooling system having some issues. Please check fan(s) or clean up coolers.
Video processing is a very power intense process requires you CPU to work @ full capacity for extended period of time. If your cooling system isn't effective enough and does not provide sufficient cooling, your CPU overheating and computer shuts down in self-protection.
