Optical Quantum supplied a link to a firmware update. After firmware installation & REBOOT the LG WH10L30 has accepted the O.Q. 6x BD-R DL & is writing. The results are

I HAD POSTED PROBLEMS WITH, only the 50GB, OPTICAL QUANTUM. THE PROBLEM WAS A COMPATIBILITY ISSUE WITH MY " LG WH10LS30" & "O.Q. 6x BD-R DL.
Optical Quantum supplied a link for a firmware (9th revision ) that allowed compatibility with my writer & O.Q. 50GB white inkjet ( non-glossy ) printable disks. I have no clue about life of disk but the price is right @ $50. shipped free for a 10pack.

I figured you needed an update. It's always the first thing to check! I glad you got it sorted!
