Newbie needs major help!!!

Ok well first off I got my burner and since it didn't come with any cables I unplugged the ones from my DVD Burner and put them into the BD Burner. Is that maybe why it is taking 30hrs. to copy a BD? I am on v8.0.8.5 and want to make a full disc copy and with HD Audio, did that and it has been going for 26hrs. and says has 2 left.

Please update to the latest version of Fab found here

Also please do not compress from your drive
First save it to your HDD as BD50 without compression.
Then open the hard drive folder and use "Main Movie" mode select BD25 to compress to another folder on your hard drive.
Use the "Write Data" mode of Fab to open this COMPRESSED folder and burn to a disk.
Doing it this way saves wear and tear on your optical drive and is also faster.

Have you also deleted parts of your log?
If so please do not do this, it is important to post a full log pertaining to the problem disc.

omg I'm such an idiot, I was not ripping my BD first , I was just drag&drop the BD files and run them. So that was why I was getting error. But it is still taking over 20hrs. to compress at 86% quality so there wasn't much. I think it was like from 28GB to 25GB. Is there a setting I have wrong? I'm running it off an external hard drive and saving to the same external hard drive. Maybe that's why so slow? Thx for your help.

According to your log it is just under 38.GB, so you are doing quite a bit of compression.
The bottle neck could be your external drive depending how it's connected.

Is there any chance you could copy it to your internal drive and have your target set as your external, it may improve your speed.

It is always best to do All compression and converting from your HDD to save your optical drive from having an early death.

With your Quad core processor you should be doing it in a few hours.

Not sure what you have in your settings of Fab, but could you post what you are using on the A/V Codec page.

If I were you I would also update to the latest version and try it, there have been many improvements in speed.

Your GPU is not really a higher end card, so I would suggest your settings to "software only" by checking the box Disable all GPU Codecs for decoding and encoding to see if you can get your compression time down.

Your GeForce 9100 is an integrated chipset and not a discrete card at all.
It is not designed to handle any offloading from the cpu and in all likelihood the chipset is overheating.

Sorry to say, but the 9100 has a poor track record and has been problematic for many users.

THANK YOU!!!! so much! That did the trick. Went from 0.55MB/s to 1-2MB/s plus I can use my pc to do other stuff now while it's doing it lol before forget about it. Say for movies like Bridesmaids with 2 versions and I just want 1, can I go into the ripped BDMV folder and just delete the movie file I don't want? and then run it thru Fab. Or will that make the copy unplayable?

I do not have this movie,but you should have a choice if you select Main Movie then pic the correct Title for the version that you want.

You should also keep multitasking down to a minimum.
