Not able to copy BR 3d movies to 25GB disk

I had the V8.1.8.5 and had problems while trying to copy 3d movies to a 25GB disk with or withouot compression. I have installed v8.1.8.7 and the problem remains either when copying witm Full disk mode or with Main Movie mode,using at target either BD-RE or BD-R, playing around with altering the settings (Ticking Ignore all reading errors automatically and/o runticking Enable read-ahead cache etc.). When copying full disk (3d) at 50GB disk with no compression for a 3d copy, everything works OK. Also as info I use NVIDIA GTX280. I attach below the as an examle 2 log files :

v8.1.8.7 Not able to copy BR 3d movies to 25G disk

I started with the preset software settings and then followed a number of different ways of getting the result. No success. It seems that there is no way to compress a 50GB 3D file (also as an iso file) to a 25GB disk especially if it is a Main Movie mode which has only option the conversion to SBS 3D.
It seems to me that 3D and compression (SBS) do not get along. This seems to be a problem to other users as wel. One thought though. I am almost certain that one of the films I had mentioned was ripped to HD using the 8.1.3.6 version (few weeksago) and I tried to copy it in a disk using the latest v8.1.8.5 (and then v8.1.8.7Beta). I don't know if there is also a compatibility issue among different versions. As a last case of obvious troubleshooting, I am ripping couple of 3d films right now with my current version and I will try again for compression awaiting for results.

Just finished the latest attemt. with current version v8.1.8.7 and steps:
1. Blu-ray copy Full Disk to HD (iso file)
2. Blu-ray copy Main Movie with conversion Blu-ray SBS 3D to a 25GB D-RE with compression 97%.
3. Writeup at DVDfab window: . Copying started - Video reencode - GPU acceleration for video encoding enabled - Source(00272.ssif) and since the transfer (MB/s) deteriorates to zero at 0,26% I had to cancell. Subsequent messages were : User cancelled - copying of C2-D1-Jacket_lbg.jpg failed (in another case I had message "copying of bdmt.eng.xnl failed") - Task_1 failed! Error=102.

When I look at your logs, I may be reading them incorrectly, but it appears to me that you are using hardware acceleration. Turn off all hardware settings and try it.

Thanks for the info. I removed CUDA acceleration, first time it was going well, then stuck requesting to report etc. I removed v8.1.8.7 went back to original v8.1.8.5 but still no luck. All these trying to copy Cars2 main movie only (SBS3D) to 25GB. I still believe tha there is an issue here with the current version. As I said previously some other titles (not able to convert them now to BS 3d to a 25B target) I was abe to do the job at the past with v8.1.3.6. What gives?

rjl2005 thanks for the advice. It was of help eventually. As mentioned earlier, at first it did not work. I must admitt that I might had overdone it since at Common Settings, I ticked disable all Acceleration with GPU for all options.
After the failure, I installed again v8.1.8.7 and retry with the same results.
I reverted to original settings (including engine VSO-not ImgBurn) and as far as A/V Codec is concerned, for decoding I opted for H264/CUDA,VC1/CUDA,MPEG2/Software and for encoding H264/Software. From the ISO file at HD I choosed Main Movie comressed to 25G (around 91%) for SBS 3D and targeted again at HD. Then I copied the complete disk/file (by now only the Main Movie SBS 3D at 25GB) to a BD-R 25GB succesfully. I tried that for 3 films (3D) all resulted to success. I do not really know how, but it worked. Again thanks.

Not able to copy BR 3d AND BR 2d movies to 25G disk from 50G iso on harddrive

Here is the summary of the two issues I'm experiencing (this thread looked to me similar to my problems):


1. while attempting to copy/compress a 2D movie from a preexisting full disk copy on disk, everything goes well until the movie hits 10.25% completed where the compress hangs.

In case it would be relevant I have noticed that from 0 to 10% my CPUs are all running at 85% full time and RAM usage for FABcore.exe ramps up to 498,972K and DVDFab.exe goes up to 354,616K. I do have more than 10Gig of RAM still available at that time.


2. while attempting to copy/compress a 3D movie from a preexisting full disk copy on disk, I get an error immediately


I'm not too sure what to try next... IDEAS?
