Navigation problems on burned TDK BR Discs

The 25th Anniversary Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Concerts 2 Disc Region B.

Appears no problem at all in copying either 'Full' or 'Main Movie' either via HDD in 50G or direct to TDK 25G Disc, all goes well and completes in each case in normal time.

However, the copies will not chapter search or fast forward/reverse and just freezes in black.

Evident with 3 playback sources, with the original Pio 206 drive/PC where the discs were burned, with a PS3 and with a Pio BDP-LX52 Player.

Problem only with this title, other back-ups working fine, copying exactly the same way and all play back okay with full navigation.

Have checked the video stream through Power DVD direct from the FAB Folder on both the Full Disc and Main movie versions I copied and they navigate fine, so the problem is only happening on the burnt media.

Hi Melaus also what burning software are you using? Try imgburn and set write speed half of media hope it helps on you're next attempt post log. For burn too

Using at present, the Burning Software, c/w the FAB product.

Have never had a problem to date with copying/burning as a back-up to my Blu-Ray library, only this one title has presented any issue.

I'm currently re-burning one back-up with the GPU disabled.

EDIT: Not having much luck here today, the current burn failed with only 2 minutes to go! Infact I think this is the only BR coaster I've had with approx 50 titles!

The original, chapter searches and spools fine.

The latest burn here did write with success, but the problem still exists whereby there is no chapter stepping or forward/reverse spooling without the result of freezing up and the need to eject and reinsert the disc for playback.
Leaving the disc playing from the start I imagine it will go right through and complete okay, but even stopping part way it won't resume and the need to again eject.

You should set you're write speed to 2x and if you're using fabs burning software I would try imgburn

Just going through the exercise with another title, Koyaanisqatsi, which I've been going to do for a while.

Have noted all of your advice, just want to try another title or two under the set-up as has been for all of this year to identify if there is a definite 'current' problem, or has been the case with no problems.

Still at this stage leaning toward a particular issue with this 'Hall of Fame Concert'

Hi Melaus
I suggest you lower your burn speed as suggested to 4x or 2x, it is never good to burn at max speed.

If you would like to use ImgBurn as your burn engine you will find instructions in the link in my signature.
Remember to set up the AWS in ImgBurn and your burn speed to 1/2 the rated speed of your media.

Your drive also has a firmware update your will find it here http://www.firmwarehq.com/download_1...106EU.EXE.html

Note: If you do not know how to flash your drive do not do it, it will render your drive useless.
