BD Clone on HDD failed at reading

    Hi,

I'm new on this forum, although I use DVDFab for several years!
I use DVDFab for several weeks to Clone BR on .Iso format
All my latests tests are not conclusive: indeed, many of the BR are cloned to the external HDD but when I try to read through the Dune(my network reader), they do not start! black screen, no message error from the Dune, but the counter doesn't stars and stay at 00.00.00 , freezed !

did somebody could help me finding where does this problem come from?
    thanking you in advance

I use the 8.1.7.8 DVDFab version
    OS onmy laptop Win Seven
my BR player on my laptop is a Matshita BD cmb uj141AF
my hard disks drive are connected on a Dune HD Duo

I've encounter the problems with these films:
    Quantum of solace
    28days later
    Max Payne
    Planet of the apes origin

Will any of those 4 ISOs play on your laptop? Use the DVDFab virtual drive to mount one of the networked movies you listed and see if the laptop has the same problem as the Dune. If you don't have a bluray player on your laptop then download the trial DVDFab one. I have ISO of Quantum, but I compressed it down to 25gb. It mounts and plays fine.

              Hi
I've installed DFVD Virtual Driver, but I couldn't open any of mu BluRay, so I thinks I don't use it well ! Explain to me; when I'm on my Iso file, I clic right and select open with DVDF Virtual ,then DVDFab Open ! but doens't launch the film !!
              am I missing someting ??
and yes, I have a bluray driver on my laptop !
I use Iso format because I want to keep the original quality on image and Sound fromthe films; If I use an other format, I will downgrade the quality by compressing !
I send you the internal log juste after this post
              thanks a lot

I don't think it is possible to right click on your ISO to open it using the virtual drive. Instead you right click on the virtual drive icon in the task bar (lower right corner), the select "mount" and browse for the ISO to mount.

and the ISO will then show up as mounted as in this image

When you mount the ISO image, a dialog box will pop up and you will be asked which, if any, programs to use to play the movie. I cannot use PowerDVD even though it is shown on my desktop as I have an analog monitor. However, your laptop may be able to play using PowerDVD assuming it is HDCP compliant. If you cannot play using any software on your laptop then download the trial version of DVDFab's media player.

I thought it might be useful to know if your images were good to start with or if the problem was DUNE. I just ordered a Pivos AIOS media player from Newegg. I had not heard of the DUNE before you mentioned it. The DUNE seems superior but more costly and was not mentioned in this forum or in Nero's forum when I asked about what media player to get.

Last I knew, VLC does not support BD .ISO...at least up to and including v. 2.0.0.

                        I haven't D/L'd 2.0.1, but I haven't read anything about new BD .ISO support.
Too bad. I'd like to see it.
I see they've got an experimental 64-bit version...haven't tried it

You don't have to rip to .ISO to avoid compression...or to avoid any type of a/v "quality" loss.

Fab defaults to a BD Folder ----> BDMV. This is the same format as the original BD-ROM.

I'm not telling you what to do, but it sounds like you're doing it for the wrong reasons.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

                          Hi Jonatan and BeemerBiker,
Thanks a lot for your answers!
Yes, it run withe the DVDFab Virtual driver !so you think that it is probably due to Dune HD DUO ? but what is not undurstandable is, why the other Bluray run on the Dune !
I use the same Laptop, the same DVD Fab cloner, the same BDdriver, the same Dune !!
                          some works, other not !
here you could find part of the last log, hop this help you to understand where the bug come from !
Anyway, in respond to BeemerBiker, Dune is very interresting, a lot of possibilities, and the image quality is very good (for my point of view!!)

You're logs don't look complete to me Try turning off the GPU acceleration and setting all the A/V codecs to software and disable L.R see if that helps but if I was you o would go with mkv if the dune will play that format

Hi, sorry for the late answer but i was traveling for my job !

First, Jonatan, my GPU was off, and the codec are all on software !

Maineman, I'm not sure to understand what you talk about when you say :"Fab defaults to a BD Folder ----> BDMV. This is the same format as the original BD-ROM" is that mean when I clone a BR or DVD, DVDFAb could clone on an other format than .iso ? if yes, how could I chooose the format ?
                              thanks in advance
