    @Rich86

As you said, to each his own.

My own is that I choose to:-

Not having to worry about the Cinivia virus
    Not having to locate disks
Not having to having to give up space to store my disks in an easily accessed area
Not having to pop disks in and out.
Not having to protect disks from Grandkids
Not having to purchase blank disks.
Not having to worry about the quality of the blank disks
    Not having to burn disks

Having ALL my content available to all the TV's in my houshold at any time at the press of a button.
Having ALL my content catalogued so that it show the art, synopsis, etc and available at the press of a button.
Having an automated backup of my media library at all times.

Maybe that is what Chetwood was referring to as the 80's!!

This is the way of the future and I have been doing it for around 10 years already and honestly, you can ask many users on this forum, once they try it, they are converted for life.

I think it is about time this discussion is put to bed as enough has been said and their are two distinct camps with widely differing opinions.

Sorry - I have to disagree - Sony blu-ray players are excellent - I have a few of them and they all perform flawlessly. I also have a Sony 5 disc DVD player that works perfectly, and an even older Sony 5 disc cd player that lives in a mountain cabin and works perfectly. None of these devices were built in the 80's.

The quality of Sony products is not at issue, it's what they are attempting to do to your fair use rights. It's philosophical thing and they can bite me!

To each his own. My experience says Sony optical media players are some of the best players out there. If you want to conduct some sort of campaign against an excellent product line because you disagree with the Sony movie division's obsession with drm - well - enjoy. Although I often find their obsession with drm annoying and silly, I will continue to use my cinavia free top quality Sony blu-ray players to watch movies on my favorite Sony HDTV. No media players needed here, thank you.

I believe that your wrong, I am not misleading members.
Sony is Sony no matter how you put it, whether it be Sony Pictures or Sony USA

If you choose to buy Sony products made by Sony USA , but not buy Sony video products made by Sony Pictures thinking they are different you are dead wrong.

Why not ask the many PS3 members who had their consoles bricked after a firmware update from Sony USA in which Fab had a resolution to Cinavia in which they could make a protected backup .

I agree with my friend GregiBoy
