Very Slow Analyze

Anybody know why the Blu-Ray copy analyzing is taking soooo long??
I tried to burn a back-up of Safe House yesterday and when I checked this morning it was 80% and running 13+ hrs? Restarted same deal. Went back a loaded Beta ver, 8.1.9 Still analyzing. Any Ideas?

The last several versions/updates have been like this. As far as I can tell, nobody has addressed the matter yet. Seems it is really bad on some movies but not so bad on others. I am keeping 2 versions loaded right now, v8.1.6.7 and v8.2.0.0, unfortunately, any new movie released with new decryption may not rip properly with the older, faster analyzing version. Hope someone addresses this soon.

I'm using version 8.1.3.2 for compressing. It works better than the latest versions. I have not run into a ripping problem except for discs that are not supported yet. You could read with a newer version and compress with the older version if need be.

Version reversion

I have reverted back on a number of occasions, lately. The one I find the most helpful is old #8168. I was looking for some help here, and when I saw that the later versions were having the "slow" problem, I hopped right back on the 8168 train, and she's humming along like a sewing machine. Wish we could get some better NEW versions that don't need to be uninstalled to avoid 5 hour copy times, among other issues.

You can find it here though they are not supported anymore.
You should always save your Fab installers in a folder in case you ever need to use it if the newer version is giving you problems


You can have more than 1 version installed and running also, I have 20

Here is an old post of mine:
TRY THISDuring install when the screen comes up for destination folder C:\Program Files\DVDFab 8xxxQT and start menu folder DVDFab 8xxx, I change the blue from DVD Fab 8xxxQT, and add115 or whatever version you are installing after the 8, which will allow me to have more than one version installed, right now I have 11 versions of 8 installed and running, it will put an icon on your desktop after installing that version but, you will have to rename the DVD Fab 8QT new icon to DVD Fab 8115QT or what ever the version that you have just installed.
Just right click the icon and click rename.

I have had similar slow issues as of late. I was trying to back up Hunger Games and it's been 30 minutes and only at 3%. I backed up redtails the other day and ran into a similar issue. Took several hours just to analyze then another 90 minutes to encode and then the burn process. Overall took like 8 hours just to back up the movie.

Is this just a fact that it is having difficulty overcoming protection on the disc or is this a software problem? Anyone know? It's rather frustrating taking the computer up all day just to back up a movie.

I jumped back to 8.1.9.0 which is working well.

slow anylizing

I have been reverting to 8.1.9.6 and it hammers, for some reason I can backup main movie blu-ray via remux to .MKV on the fly in about 20 mins ... if i copy to H/disk it takes about 30 mins then + the convert to remux time
-- Ripper seems to have a faster anylize time than Copy --
I am using a new Liteon model iHBS312-33 2 - this thing is amazing so I do em all on the fly now ..

Slow Analyze

I'm not a super burner by any means but If I go back to an earlier ver. and can copy the Blu-ray How could it be a problem with my blu-ray burner? I have three,and yes I did try the other burners alsoand cleaned the disks with a micro-fiber colth. So I have to look at the software bring the problem in this case. I can also use other software and have no problems. So now that I am a lifetime user of DVDfab and don't get me wrong up until the last two and one half months did not have any problems. I want to be able to use one program. P.S. I also use Img Burn.
