Cinavia free blu ray players

I'm not going to say which smart TV and Cinavia-enabled BD player I have in case "they" are lurking this forum. And yeah, "them" too...

I find I can copy to the hard drive the Cinavia BD50 Main Movie and then copy the m2ts file from the DVDFab\MainMovie\title\STREAM\BDMV directory to a USB stick and view it in its entirety from the USB port on the player where the same file burned to a disc will not. BD25 and BD9 main movie m2ts files work, too.

Similarly, those main movie m2ts files will play A-OK from a USB port on my smart TV from either a USB stick or an external USB HDD.

The HDD doesn't work on the BD player.

Being a noob here, I might expect a "well everyone knows that," but no they don't. I had a "I wonder if" moment and it worked out well. Hopefully, the Cinavia frustrated might give it a try on their equipment.

So, I have a cheapo 500 GB drive running on my smart TV and for the Cinavia media I just tell the kids and the uncaring guests to use the TV. (All others get copied to cheap BD9s.) Now even my original Cinavia BDs can stay locked up.

Panasonic DMP-BDT310 has no Cinavia infection, not even with the latest firmware. Great player and plays all my 3D .iso movies that I have burned on BD-DL discs.

I have a Panasonic Blu-ray player (DMP-BD75) which is Cinavia free and plays great. The model is discontinued and most websites either show it as being "out of stock" or "discontinued". It is also one of the few models that play DL media.

If you are in the U.S., h.h.gregg has limited stock and is selling them for $70 + tax with free shipping..

Jonatan, do U know if the PIVOS AIOS Media Player will play Back-up Blu-Rays of my Original Blu-Rays I've purchased? Or, does anyone else know?

i got android app google dk my moviesand the aios does the same thing but with thumbgen instead

Just curious - what firmware came with it?

When they first came out, mine came with V1.19 and I updated to V1.28. I just bought 2 (backup & one for my daughter) from an e-bay seller at $50 each. They also came with V1.19. I think it's a great player but I don't have it on a network.

Jeff, I'll check the number after lunch. How were the players you got from eBay? New? Refurb? Used? Are you pleased with them?

Excellent. They were listed as overstocks so I was willing to take a chance. One had batteries in the remote (store demo?) and the other looked like it was new in the box. Cosmetically, they did not have any marks on them.

Wow. I guess the word is out. Amazon has the DMP-BD75 at $125 now.
Maybe I should buy a backup from H.H. Gregg
