    Compress 50gb to 25gb problem!

Recently i have a problem compressing my 50gb main movie rips on hdd to 25gb. Usually after compressing to 25gb the file on my hdd is 22-23gb but now i only get a file with a maximum of 18gb?

I backed up snow white and after compressing and burning to disc the transfer was very poor with a file size of 17gb.

Anyone else have this problem or how to resolve it?

    I have tried 8212 and 8213 versions.

Please try compress to bd25 from the original disc directly and see the result.

          8213 QT compress 50gb to 25gb problem!

          stu1690,

If you have it on hdd, 50GB, use V8085 non QT and compress to 25GB, should work well!

Theres a few QT versions out there that are really good and fast, but theres a problem with keeping them installed and wroking!

          Read the thread QT Versions!

I have tried 8085 and it has resolved my issue, takes a wee bit longer but it works all the same.

Is it ok to have two versions ie 8085 and the newest one on the same pc?

Its no problem at all, I have versions of FAB all the way back to V5 installed!

Theres just a problem with the QT versions installing and keep working, but theres way of fixing that too! 90312 has a way that worked for me and a little more work on my own for my PC!

I have 5 versions of QT working and staying installed, why would you want more than one version, some work better than newer versions, some are alot faster, some convert alot faster, ect. ect.

I keep all offical releases, they don't take up any room at all!

Learned that from all the old timers back in the day!

8855A: Could you tell me of a qt version of fab that converts 3d well from 50 gig to 25 gig and if possible a fast version, also could you tell us how to keep it installed i work with 3d mostly and just reduce to 25 gigs full disk as if i use main movie it works only sometimes.I use Micca media player to play back so i don't burn disks.Need a download link or a way to get such working program also. Thanks in advance.

Sadly, my main use for the program at the moment is to shrink full rez 50 gb 3d blurays to 25 GB, the older versions won't do this with 3D. I haven't been able to get the program to do this without video that freezes on several different 3d displays.

Sorry, I don't have anything in 3D, so I never had to use it!

Theres a thread in the forum "QT VERSIONS" and I found a way along with 90312 way of installing QT V's, so far all 5 are still working on my PC!

I use an Aios Media player, but I use BD-Ripper to compress and convert to MKV, I don't know anything about 3D!

Look under "General Questions" for QT Versions, this is how I got my QT's installed and still working!
