Unable to Read BD Drive

This has been an ongoing problem for several months. I moved to W7 a while back, and ever since the BD drive will not load in any version of DVDfab, although every other program will load and use the drive. I believe it is a driver conflict, but I do not see how to resolve it. Below is a dump from ImgBurn that shows a strange entry in the Lower Class Filter. In DVDFab Inspector, it shows the same entries with file names of Chinese characters.sys. I can find no file name like that in the directory, and searching the registry only shows the valid entry for clbstor.sys. So I am looking for ideas on where to look to find and destroy that weird Lower Class Filter. I have to believe that doing that will solve my issue.

You can remove filters in ImgBurn. In the load order dialog box highlight the suspect filter and in the lower left corner of the box is a remove filter button.

Already tried that. When I delete the funky filter, it jsu comes up with more nonsense characters, It finally just flips back and forth between two sets of nonsense. It will not go away.

That is starting to sound suspiciously like some bug, malware or the like. Have you ran Malwarebytes?

Just ran Malwarebytes, and it found no issues. I have looked in the registry and can find no lowerfilter entries other than the one for cyberlink. Not at all sure where to go now. The data for lower filters has to come from somewhre. Any idea where that may be?

Not a clue pal. Try going into the device manager and uninstalling the optical drive, it will be picked up and installed on reboot, and try removing the filter after removal and before reboot. A shot in the dark

If I can't solve this, can I use the same authorization keys I have for the dvdfab on the PC on my Mac, and buy a BD external drive for the Mac and run it there?

You can always ask support but I think no, two different programs.

OK, I have managed to get rid of all LowerFilters, and it still just comes up to opening the BD drive and halts. Here is the log file.

At this point it just sits, and nothing else happens. I have to force a restart of the computer to get DVDfab to stop, and that can take 5 minutes or so.
This is true for any type of disc in this drive. The drive in question is a Samsung SH-B123L SATA Drive. I also have a Sony DRU-840A PATA drive that works fine in DVDfab, of course it can't do BD The Samsung drive worked fine under Win XP.

Uninstall DVDFab and run Ccleaner on the registry until it finds no problems may take two three times. reinstall from a fresh download and give it a try.

You might also run msconfig.exe and click the start up tab and uncheck everything. If something loading on bootup that conflicts it might clear it, then you can go back and recheck things one at a time until you find it.

Well, actually made some progress. After 8 minutes DVDfab recognized the disc, but then stopped at about the same point where it fails while reading from an .iso copy of the disc. Below is the log file

So I stopped it at 3 hrs 10 minutes, and as can be seen, it took almost 15 min to get to here.

When I try from an iso file, it gets to the unit keys, and then just keeps writing an unable to get unit key xxx over and over. (Some BD's do work from an iso file, just not this one or a couple of Star Wars discs.)

Thoughts?
