Your burning from a folder that has a full disk or main movie not a ISO so the rules are different now you must use the Fab burning engine and not img burn and you have to mount the minsto file to Virtual drive this is not how i asked you to do it because the extra steps and extra program needed (virtual drive).

Look at my second log file it says the name of the movie then it says iso that's what you should have made when you put the disk onto the computer were is the burn file to this job when you made the iso? If you keep the 3d movie a ISO all the way it's so much easier.Did you play the disks you made on a 3d player? The logs looks like they burnt the disk but it may not play in 3d.When you insert the disk in the computer look at computer in windows then look at your blu ray drive does windows see the disk, list the title and how big it is? This will tell you whats on the disk if anything and how many gigs.

Now i am going to repeat my post again pay attention to the source and target at each step.To change target to iso you click the hand holding a blu disk to the right of the target box now the choice changes to iso you do this after you place the store brought disk into fab select main movie change target from your blu ray drive to iso by clicking the hand holding the blu ray to the right of the target box now it will make a iso from the disk to the hard drive and when done close fab and look at the fab folders under iso or clone their you will see the movie title and iso after the title so now you have a iso and that's what you use to make a 3d movie and you can use fab or img burn to burn the disk that you set up in settings they both work fine when burning a 3d ISO.

Please make a ISO of the 3d blu ray first step 1 shows you how.

1-in blu ray copy select CLONE insert 3d blu ray store brought disk in blu ray drive.Source will be your blu ray drive, target change to dvdfab iso folder this is a clone folder in dvd fabs files and is where you will look for it later.
Press start this will copy the disk exactly to your hard drive as a iso should take about 50 mins. or so to do when done disk is ejected and you click on finish and close fab.Now in the next step you will make the 3d disk from the Iso(clone) folder in fab you just made.

2-Now open fab blu ray copy click on main movie go into fabs files and find the iso you just made in the clone file folder drag the file into fab.Put a 25 gig disk into blu ray drive.Target is your blu ray drive, source is the file you just dragged into fab. Here you take out anything you don't want but leave the English dts master pre checked file or whatever master audio file is checked. Now below theirs a hd audio box you can check to take out the hd audio only do this if you don't want this soundtrack or to make the file fit on a 25 gig disk without trans coding the movie that's the very long process of reducing the file to fit on a 25 gig disk. Now theirs a box to check on the bottom that says 50 gig and has a pull down box to the right, pull down this box and click on 25 gig fab will do the math if the disk doesn't need to be reduced fab will make a temporary file with the instructions you just gave it after that file is made about 20-30 Min's if the file need no compression it will go right to the burn and burn the temporary folder. If fab needs to reduce the file it can take 13 hours on a dual core computer less for 4 core computers then after if does the compress it does the burn.Their are other ways to do this but this is the easy way

Ok looks like you made a iso with the second set of logs you posted but i don't see a burn log for them.Anyway from the burn logs you posted it looks to me like fab did the burn their are no read errors or codes, your burner is ok because you burned a blu ray and your disk is ok because you used the same rewritable disk.Whats left is after you made the 3d disk what did you play it on to see if it would play? Did you see if you can play it in 2d on your computer using a software player? Did you try it on a PlayStation or did you try it on another blu ray 3d player? Some players are getting a black screen when playing some newer disks so what are you using? Can the computer play it with software player.Power dvd needs you to mount the movie in virtual drive to work. You can test it in fabs preview player like i told you open fab to main movie insert disk press play on fabs mini viewer and see if it plays in 2d their.

I have had the program act as if and go through the entire process as if burning only to have just the title of the movie on the disc and the rest of the disc is completley empty.

Did you see if you can play it in 2d on your computer using a software player?
Yes, that's how I realized that the discs were not actually burning. After putting them in my Panasonic Blu Ray palyer and nothing happend I put the disc back in the computer and looked at the properties of the disc only to see the title of the movie and the rest of the disc was blank 22.5GB free space

Did you try it on a PlayStation or did you try it on another blu ray 3d player? Some players are getting a black screen when playing some newer disks so what are you using? Can the computer play it with software player? I can play the ISO on the DVDfab player without issue, so the file is there and in working order. For some reason I can't get the 3D file to burn onto disc. 2D files have no issue. Keep in mind, the cloned file is to big to fit onto the 25GB disc so I go back in and take audio out and other things not needed on the disc. After I do this is goes through a 1hr and 30min process and looks as if it is going to burn to disc, but never does.
Power dvd needs you to mount the movie in virtual drive to work. You can test it in fabs preview player like i told you open fab to main movie insert disk press play on fabs mini viewer and see if it plays in 2d their.

Do you have a 25 gig regular non rewritable you can try as i told you everything i could think of. I used a Philips rewritable disk when i burned a 3d disk for you yesterday maybe for some reason the brand of disks you are using won't work but i can't figure why. What brand were you using? Can you burn any other 3d movies on these disks? can you take your burned disks and see if they will play on a friends 3d player as the log files said the burn went ok and completed.

Maybe Willson can take a look at the burn files and see something i didn't that can cause fab to report the burn went well but theirs no files on the disk only the title of the movie.I am not a expert on reading files.

One other thing the log file says( ice age 3d bundle) that disk was bundled with new tv's and not a regular mass release disk and that may be why your having trouble with this disk please try another 3d disk.

I have to wait for the file size to process from the full size "clone" ISO to a size that will fit on the 25GB standard Blu Ray disc, I have about 40min left to process. I was using Sony rewritables

Can you burn any other 3d movies on these disks?I've never been able to burn any 3d title to a blu ray, but I can burn 2D blu rays to them all day long

can you take your burned disks and see if they will play on a friends 3d player as the log files said the burn went ok and completed. Take my word for it, even though the log file said the disc was burned, outside of the title being on the disc it is blank. As I'm sure you may have picked up already, I'm not a novice with a computer. I own a professional video company in my city, so knowing how to touble shoot or taking direction from people helping me with software is not a problem.

It is the movie that I will be trying to burn to the standard Blu Ray

I may be on to something. This is the first time I've tried to pull the project into Image Burn and brun the disc through that program. It seems to want to work even with the rewritables, but I'm haveing a single prolem. Even after taking every bit of audio and checking the remove HD audio and making an ISO of the main movie only, Image Burn is telling me that the file size is to big

"There doesn't appear to be enough space on the disc to burn this image."
Image size 12,338,560 sectors (24,803 MB)
Disc size 22,826,176 sectors (23,098 MB)

Its asking if I want to "overburn" or "write until end of disc"

any ideas of how to make it just a little smaller?

Yes three ways: You can let img burn burn to the end of disk and the movie will copy till the end of the disk this cuts off the ending but if this is a rewritable disk that's ok your just doing a test disk to see if it works it may just cut the 5 min. ending credits most movies have if your lucky.

#2 You can in main movie record from chapter numbers say the movie has 23 chapters you can have fab record only lets say from chapter 1 to chapter 22 this will also cut the ending and make the disk a little smaller and you can use the small movie previewer in fab to see where in the movie the chapter will end so if it's just going to remove the end credits you can do this.Your really doing the same thing when you burn to end of disk with img burn but you will know where the cut out chapter starts thus knowing where your disk will end when cutting chapters using fab.Use the pull down where it says chapters their you will see how many chapters the movie has and you can change the number of chapters to record by deleting the last chapter then you can use the mini viewer to see your movie without the last chapter to see where it now ends.

#3 You can use fab to do the compression from 50 gig disk reducing to 25 gig disk this takes a long time but with most 3d movies you need to do it as they have a lot of data in them.If your talking about a short film or a 3d Imax movie they are about a hour or so they will fit on a 25 gig disk without compression like your trying to do.Their are only a few of all released 3d movies that you don't need to compress.

When i said you can reduce the file size from chapter numbers the correct name of the box you pull down in blu ray main movie is (Title start and end settings) their you can see how many chapters are on the disk and can reduce the chapters fab records. Sorry if i wasn't exactly clear on the pull down box i just didn't remember it's proper name during my last post.Hope you don't give up as i really would like to see you do this and over 700 people are reading this line of posts between us so as you said it may help others also.

                          I got your problem solved

Ok problem solved my god man your using the software that came with your drive and never updated it.Your Brd-205 doesn't know about 3d at all because it wasn't invented in 2008 the year your drive came out.Your log files says your drive is using version 1.03 soft wear their are 6 upgrades from your version for your drive.( I have the same drive as you) The version we are using now for this brd-205 drive is version 112 it is so much more advanced it will burn a lot more brands of disks and knows what 3d is.Here is a easy way to update to version 112.

Open img burn, click on write image file to disk, click on tools then click on drive at the bottom of those choices is check for firmware updates it will go to a page with updates for your drive and you will see how far behind you are in updates. Now update your drives software to version 112 and start your 1st day of making 3d backups. This information was in your logs after i read them real carefully and because i knew what version of soft wear we are using because we happen to have the same drive i solved your problem. Now you see why logs are so important to post when you have a problem.Hope others can learn from this.

ok, that's great news. I'm glad you noticed about the updates. I guess I've never felt the need to update the drive since I was able to burn Blu Ray with no problem. It'll be the first thing I do when I get home today. I'll let you know the result.

                            Another situation:
Before you posted it, I figured out how to adjust the chapters. I was able to take off the credits and checked the remove HD audio. With all that being said, the disc was still a little over the limit. I don't see what else I can remove to get it to fit on the disc without sacrificing something important on the disc (the HD audio alone was hard to sacrifice). Is this a future issue that Fab is going to have to address?

I don't think i understand why you think there's a future issue for fab to address in this case as fab can compress the movie with all the soundtracks and all the titles to 25 gig disks two different ways very easily its just time consuming but the results are you really can't tell the difference between a 50 gig disk (which most movies use up 32-35 gigs some a tad more or less) and a 25 gig fab reduced disk that has menus, all the audio tracks and titles. Also fab can make a side by side 25 gig 3d copy with hd audio in blu ray ripper that looks just like the 50 gig disk so if your tv has side by side (most do) and you have blu ray ripper in fab then give this a try. It's much faster also, i do one in 3 hours with a 2 core computer using cuda and i Like i said before almost all 3d movies contain a lot of data and we have to reduce it by compression not by taking things out like the great hd audio. If your trying to save money look into media players and external hard drives they are a lot cheaper in the long run if your going to make backup disks for many movies. What would be nice is to have all the movies reduced to 25 gig available on line so all we have to do is prove we own a legal store brought disk then we can download it from a server in 25 gig full 3d form and burn it or keep a copy on our hard drive for media players now that would be something as now all the problems people have will be gone and some smart person can charge us a server fee for each download keeping costs of 50 gig disks to 0 and 25 gig disks are only $1.00 these days.I always wondered if this will be legal as you would have to prove you owned the disk you wanted to download to have a back up copy.Well i can dream can't i.

I'm not real familiar with media players, what model/brad would you recommend looking into. I have multiple hard drives for storage space, much more than I could ever use. I guess my main concern is that if I am going to stream I don't want to lose any quality, I want to stay at 1080p. Is that possible. Please keep in mind, I know nothing, zero about media players.
