problem compressing from hell

i compress the disc, but when i go to copy it it says i still need a dual layer disc, this ive tried the latest versions of 8 and 9 ...

I tried this to see if I could figure it out and I did! It just doesn't compress enough. I use ImgBurn as my burning engine and it gives a little better feedback. This attempt was with 8.2.2.6 see attached:

I keep my DVD-5 size set to 4472, that works well for DVD main movies. Apparently the compressor for BR to DVD-5 is not completely accurate and missed the goal a little too large. So I went into common settings and set the size to 4000 MB and it worked. I might not have had to go that small but at an hour and a half a trial, and I'm sure it depends on the source disc anyway. The key to making it work is going into common settings and setting the compression size for DVD-5.
